How the hell can everyone on here be so harsh towards her 'park' story? She said "Worse stuff happened to me when I was younger" in the moment, as she was trying to articulate something else, & she didn't think Piers would push her to say it. She then starts smiling because she's EMBARRASSED; She works so hard to stay strong & calm all the time that she doesn't want to be seen crying in an interview. She's not making it up, because she's not evil, & that would be a terrible thing to do.
People who have been sexually abused get so much judgment from others usually because people don't think they look or act like someone would when they have had that happen to them or they. This is one of the reasons that people who have had this happen to them don't tell anyone so please don't be so quick to label someone full of shit or think you know they are lying based on things like facial expressions. People sometimes smile cause they are embarassed or trying to put on a brave face.

You weren't there & aren't her so can't say it wasn't scary or traumatizing & didn't affect her even if something similar happened to you. Kelly McGillis said she was mugged at gunpoint once & wasn't bothered by it does that mean everyone who is mugged at gunpoint isn't traumatized? No cause every situation is different & everybody reacts differently to things. Even if he didn't molest her she still might have thought he was going to which can be just as bad.
She didn't actually get abused. In a later interview she said a man exposed himself to her in the park. speaking as someone that's had the exact same experience, it's not abuse at all. It was an unpleasant thing but I'm hardly traumatized and I'd be surprised if she was.
Well, it's been years now and she has come out further with what occurred. She said in her book and in later interviews that the man made her and the friends she was with "lick" him which I am sure you can guess what she was referring to...she also hints at being sexually assaulted by him as well. Please don't judge her experience, everybody processes trauma differently. Maybe more happened but she was only comfortable enough to speak about SOME things such as what you mentioned.
@Gameglitcha I don't know if you've ever been abused, but speaking from personal experience I can say that a person represses those issues and makes them seem like "oh just something that happened to me" The way she said "oh it was some thing in a park" before Piers actually asked her about it specifically, I can totally identify with. You make it seem like it didn't happen and can superficially talk about it but when prodded further it brings up terrible unresolved issues.

its a bit weird when she suppresses her emotions, bless her though bad stuff probably did happen to her and thats why she acts out , although she has a great family, very close to the mum and brother, very lucky ,
