wow, that pan is absolutely gorgeous. Would you recommend for a beginner to get that scale (8+1 notes)? I was looking for a E kurd 8+1 but after seeing ur videos, that scale joined the battle hahah
haha thank you Gabriel! Well, thats a tricky question. There are definitely scales that are easier to pick up for beginners (the Kurd for example), because they are more flexibel and more "forgiving" to play. I found the Aegean a little harder because of the tritone between the C and the F#, that kind of messes up some chords, but it's possible to play around that. Plus you should keep in mind that my instrument has a lot of bottom notes and they can change the mood of the scale quite a lot in my opinion (compared to an 8+1). BUT if you really like the Aegean mood, I would say you can go for it! A student of mine also chose the Aegean as her first Instrument and she's very happy with it. I would recommend you to watch some videos of 8+1 Instruments (if trying out one isn't possible) and then decide if you like the mood. Good luck with your choice!
Sorry for that :) The instrument was brand new when I recorded this and I needed to get used to it before I could integrate all the high notes (and sometime it's still challenging...) But I am working on some compositions wich will include all of them ;)
Fighting the JEALOUSY monster BIG TIME!!! 😄 Congratulations on your new handpan! Enjoy and share your music with us, please!!! 😇❤
