    • @TimmyTheToolman
      @TimmyTheToolman 2 роки тому

      Maybe your rear brakes shoes are sticking. It might not be a transmission issue at all. Maybe pull your rear drums and inspect them. If an axle seal fails, the gear oil can get into the brakes and cause the shoes to swell.

    I need your help but with some explenation with VIN number in toyota 4runner 2001 3gen the same like yours. In my toyota Vin I can find on the windshiled or doorjamb but on the chassis is diffrent number. Probobly in yor toyota is the same. Why I am asking. usuallly you should have the same vin number with the chassis (when the cars have the chassis of cours. In our case we have). In my 4runner the number on chassis is diffrent, then on wildshield or doorjamb on the sticker. On the chassis is mix of the number from vin. Is this normal ??? • @TimmyTheToolman
      @TimmyTheToolman 3 роки тому

      They might have replaced the door or the windshield at some point with a used one and that's why the VIN doesn't match the chassis VIN. Why would they care about this and why would they check? Are they concerned the vehicle might be stolen?

    • @amerycapl5447
      @amerycapl5447 3 роки тому

      Timmy. I explain you again. I know that all parts like doors when are original they should have sticker and have the original vin number. But this is No problem.
      Problem is because vin number that you have on the windshield (you use also the word chassis number) is diffrent then the number on the frame that is in the front on the right side (passenger side). On the windshield is the original vin number (with 17 diffrent letters or numbers) and on the frame is only number with 13 letters and numbers. Toyota 4runner is the car build on the frame and usually the number vin from windshield should be the same on the frame. Thats is by another cars. And here is the problem because in my country to register my car I have to make inspection but to do this The vin number and the number on the frame have to be the same. But in our case we know that is impossible because is diffrent. I founded on forum any info, that this short number on the frame was used in Japan. I could make the inspection but I would need some explanation from toyota on the toyota paper with stamp that my version of Toyota is original and they were produced like that. Even in manual operating book from Toyota there is information that the vin number on the windshield is legal and prime identification vin number.

      Hey, another person who likes our humor. Though for some people, there is no wrong hole.

    Hello Timmy, I don't usually comment on videos but I think that your videos are very instructional and informative. I really wish that you would hold off on the sexual comments though. If there are kids watching this that are interested in mechanics, that should not be a part of what they need to hear, IMO. Other than that, I really think your content is good.

      You make a valid point but I doubt I'm saying anything that a teenager hasn't already heard and I doubt elementary school kids are turning wrenched on vehicles. My politically incorrect commentary is pretty tame and harmless in my opinion. We like to laugh and have some fun when filming and we share a little bit of our humor with our viewers. Glad you overall like the content we are creating.

      @@subtegral I think it would be very difficult to be a parent in this day and age. When I was growing up, there was no internet. We played outside with our friends. Now with internet access, kids can be exposed to anything and everything at a very young age. That's why my tame sexual innuendos in this video is nothing compared to what kids can find on the internet. I guess parents need to carefully limit their online use but then these kids have friends and could easily be exposed to a whole bunch of stuff at somebody else's house or somebody else's kid's smart phone.

      @@subtegral Yeah, kids aren't for everyone. They weren't for me.

      You lost me Tim. I shot this video a while ago so I don't get the reference.
