It’s amazing how little cloud cover it takes to lower the panels output. I just added 400 watts to a 200 watt system and upgraded to Victron components and am very pleased with Victron and the increased capacity from the additional panels. Next is lithium batteries!
my mom just saprized me with a 100watt solar panel and i was so happy im not rich so its taking me awhile to build up to get the things i need but atleast i got the know how. anyways keep up the videos brother they keep me going
Tell me about it. I have 6800w of panels. Two 5.1k 48v batteries and I can't make it a full day on batteries if it's cloudy. But then again I'm running a whole house with 3 AC units.
1200 w solar 300 amp agm cant use tv on foggy day..during day ..have to save it for evening ..thats only down side to my little system however i can have only two foggy days in a row then a rainy day jenny will fire up
This is not the dark side of the solar. Having been off grid for 21 years, this is something everyone knows and accounts for. This would be like spending money based on the highest paycheck you received in past 12 months when you really should base your spending habits on the average or even low paycheck over 12 months. Then you won't be surprised when you run out of money... Or electricity. You have to go into solar knowing your usage and then building your system for 3 days of rain. You've got a halfway decent battery bank you should have at least two to three times that much solar.... Or not expect to run large draw items. I never ran an air conditioner in 21 years off grid and I have a propane refrigerator
This is the exact stage of our set up we are definitely learning as we go lol.. we are trying to figure out what batteries we want to get not sure about lithium cause it gets so cold where we are

They sell heated batteries
Self heated batteries or DIY battery heaters along with some insulation and you should be good in most situations.
I fond to 3 in series add more and parallel in 3 more amps mppt i use midnite
This isn't anything new or ground breaking...
