This doesn't just predate the Noah story from the Bible. It predates the story that predates it. The story of Utnapishtim from the epic of Gilgamesh. And even this is based on an even older story about a character named Ziusudra. We only have fragmentary parts of that but it involves loading animals on a boat to preserve life from a flood caused by angry gods.
2348 BC is the date for Noah's Flood according to some. The Atrahasis Flood is dated circa 2900 BC. that is to say roughly 600 years earlier than Noah's flood. How so? Atrahasis, the Mesopotamian Noah, is in the town of Shuruppak, (modern Tel Fara, in Iraq) on the Euphrates River when warned by his god (Sumerian Enki, Babylonian Ea) to build a boat to preserve the seed of man and animals for a post flood restoration of life on a flood destroyed World. That site was excavated in 1931 and found to have existed from circa 3000 BC to 2000 BC.It had only one flood layer, circa 2900 BC of a flooding Euphrates river, leaving a deposit of river laid silt about 2 feet deep. There was NO deposit from circa 2348 BC (there was NO Noah's Flood deposit). Archaeologists concluded, based on the flood silt evidence, that the Atrahasis Flood was a greatly exaggerated myth, the world's mountains had not been flooded. The Shurrupak flood of 2900 BC happened Before Gilgamesh became a king at Uruk circa 2600 BC, and before Moses wrote about Noah's flood circa 1446 BC. To date, one of the oldest sites is ancient Jericho, near the Dead Sea. It was founded circa 9500 BC and finally abandoned circa 587 BC. NO FLOOD DEPOSIT exists at Jericho for any period of time, from 9500 BC to 587 BC, and Jericho is below sea level! This is proof Noah's flood is a myth and never happened. For details google Mattfeld Noah's Flood.

I’m seeing confusion about how this relates to the Noah’s ark story in the Bible. I wonder if maybe in the description you could make it more clear? I read it (and watched in full) and if this was my first video from you I would not know what to assume.
Here is what is really going on. The record of Atruhasis is THE ORIGINAL ACCOUNT OF THE FLOOD. ATRUHASIS IS Noah. The translation is very poor from its original text to what your hearing. Christ is the God that offered his life as a blood sacrifice. Enki is The Father and Noah was warned to build an Ark. The noise wasn't noise but great wickedness that troubled God and caused him to regret having made man. The three God's in the begging actually represent the creation. You have land water and the Holy Gost brooding over the face of all creation. The rest of the details are either fabrications, embellishments or piss poor translation.
@boejiden8784 And who are you? What authority do you have to speak to this? You don't know my religion! Your a fool with an opinion and what you think is irrelevant!

Why mankind's clamor/noise? This myth explained that with the creation of man, the clamor/noise of the junior gods is transferred to man. The junior gods' clamor/noise was the objection to forced hard physical labor making irrigation canals off the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, to provide water for the fruit trees being grown in the gods' gardens in the EDIN. That is to say man's noise is that of the junior gods (the Igigi), noisely objecting to the backbreaking toil in the gods' gardens of EDIN! The god Enlil cannot rest by day nor sleep by night due to this noise. He resolves to end the noise by drowning all of mankind in a worldwide flood. On the 7th day, the Babylonian SEBITTU DAY, the flood ends, peace and quiet envelops all the earth and the gods can now rest by day and sleep by night with man's demise! The Hebrews objected to this Mesopotamian account of how man's Creator came to rest on a SABBATH DAY (7th day) by annihilating noisey man. Instead God rests on a seventh day after creating the earth and man instead of after destroying the earth and man. Genesis is refuting the Mesopotamian account of man's creation in a location called EDIN and why man's Creator sought his annihilation in a flood. For more info google Mattfeld Noah's Flood.
Noah's flood is they only truth and is very reliable. The Bible actually gives us the exact measurements of the ark. If you recall, after Noah, The Tower of Babel was created and God tore it down, mixed their languages, and told them to scatter all throughout the world. It makes sense that the flood story is all over the world and different variations would come up but the name part stays entacted.
So you’re using an adaptation to discredit a more original version. These are all variations of Atrahasis or Ziusudra Just like how YHWH and Leviathan came from Baal and Lotan
Atrahasis also gives the exact measurements, along with what materials and how much of each will be needed. An Assyriologist named Irving Finkle actually had it built using the exact measurements and material shown on the cuneiform tablets. Noah’s flood story was inspired by and drew ideas from the Atrahasis Epic, no doubt about it. It’s pretty much the same myth except they combined the two gods Enki & Enlil into one to fit their monotheistic worldview. The Jews most likely got access to this myth after the exile during their time in Babylon.
Places flood. Those poor bastards just believed it was the whole world because to them, it was the whole world. Just a bunch of uninformed fools trying to make sense of their world.
If you're taking these stories as nonfiction... I... I don't even know what to say. Why would anyone hear this and go, "oh, ok so that's how it happened! cool! Now when geologists and others give their "evidence" I'll just tell them to read this! Tada!"
@@ParadiseLordRyu you sure could 👌 My comment weren't meant in a way to prove the one false and the other right, but more of personal appeal to which story sounds better to me when it comes to who God is, creation account, who and why humans are, why the flood happened, how long it lasted, and the time after it. When it comes to which one you objectively speaking can say is right, I don't think that's a question that should be asked, as the two stories are totally different from start to finish when it comes to those points I mentioned. Only similarity between the two is humans made from dust (but not the other thing), boat, family, animals, rain, flood and sacrifice. The frame is totally different.
