El Maestro Johnny Colon ! When the Boogaloo Blues Album hit the airwaves my boys & I were instantly burnt. Back then we were listening to Rock music but Johnny Colon's Boogaloo Blues album introduce us to the world of Latin music. No looking back from there on. J.C. is one of my idols, much love and admiration for Johnny...
SEÑOR J. COLON..propelled to greatest via his Own desires..truly didnt need another bandleader to say so, Started his own. And, the rest is History!! BLESSINGS!
I remember Johnny Colon & his Orq. playing the entire BOOGALOO BLUES LP on stage at the VILLAGE GATE & many other night clubs in NYC .(1967). We used to follow him around to all the clubs. Yrs. later when Johnny was director of the East Harlem School of Music , I met him in person when he was playing LOS POLITIKEROS in 1987. His conga player was David Lugo of Hector La Voe fame.
una estrella que FANIA Y MASSUCCI NO QUISIERON QUE BRILLARA. SALSA CON CORAJE Y DECENCIA. EL SENTIMIENTO CON MAS CORAJE DE LOS 70 Y 80. FELICITACIONES SR COLON
I went to school with Johnnys son and i was close to some of his family. I’m from Uptown Washington Heights and I served in the National Guard in Harlem. I knew of his school. But like many I grew up listening to rock. But during the pandemic I got this nostalgia itch and Johnny’s music got me through. It’s good to go home. Con todo el respeto que mereces Dios te bemdiga Johnny.
since when this shows has been going on , i want to see all the shows tell me when was the frist one so i could watch all of them thank you . tony pachanga.

IT'S SAD THAT johnny Colón Never got the respect that he rightfully desverved from jerry massucci and johnny Pacheco.
Agreed. He was extremely underrated.
Bravo y sabroso
Q Mucho palo en el timbal ! Cońo afinca bro!,,, oye a Papi Pagani con Tito Rodriguez. Baja el volumen. Te oyes aparte de la banda.
el pianista en merecumbe estaba como perdido
Timbalero you need to control the volume on timbales y aprender a acompañar, más a finque !,,,,,
