I had that same front grille on my 88 SBC S10....... I always liked the 1 piece fronts including headlights bezels on the later models. I hated that grille, but was too lazy to swap it.

Sidenote: I get recommended shorts from a falconer that goes around with a Kestrel to deal with nuisance birds in warehouses and whatnot. He'll even throw it out of the car window and it'll swoop off, pretty neat birds of prey. Maybe there's a local guy if they get to buggin' ya! Cheers.
Man, I don't know how to feel about this. The guy shows up with a pickup that's basically the same as mine, even right down to the unfilled block, same cylinder heads, rockers, etc. And it's a "turd" that's going to be polished. Should I cry, then take copious notes? :) Love this serious and it'd be great to see this pickup at some drag and drive events.

My guess? Everything. Blowby, compression, cam way out, intake/elbow is restrictive. Maybe some boost leaks, exhaust issues too. There had to be a lot to be down that much.
