A QUIET WALK FROM HOME (OR MAYBE NOT) 28/9/24

My Black Bullet has her 'quirks'... I don't know what else to call them. She's been with me 6 years now, and over that time, I have had to unpick all the negative learned behaviours and be really consistent. She used to be really unpredictable and would buck and bolt.
Nowadays, she's consistent and more predictable, and we know each other inside out.
This morning, I'd planned to have a short ride from home in the sunshine. We've ridden and walked this section of road 100s of times. She is always more 'on her toes' when we ride out on our own, but today, she was in 'fast' mode, and I had no brakes. I don't hang on her mouth when she takes off, as that just adds fuel to the fire, so it's just a case of staying calm until she responds to me and settles. It would have been easier to get off and go home, but I wasn't going to do that until she was relaxed in walk.
She was a saint the whole last part of the ride home. I'd love to know what goes on in her head. I've left this video 'warts and all' rather than muting the volume and adding nice music and taking out the bad bits.
