The irony of the bird telling the dog "don't bite" when the reason he probably learned those words in the first place was after he kept biting his human
exactly!
damstr8831 You stayed on UA-cam for a long time, that's great!!
Took the words out of my mouth
It's still really impressive tho that he understood how to use it in the proper context
Ha, ha, I didn’t think about that!
"DON'T BITE. NO. NO."
That is rich.
Van Bur3n Yes!
“Dont dont”
Not no no
And the dog obeys too!!! Awesome!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol you must have a bird
Every boxer does that sideways walk when theyre excited, so cute
They're part crab, an odd breed.........
Ong yesssss
they really do!!!!
Every dog does that tbh. Even my labs do it
Every dog*
Damn that bird is not just parroting there. It knows how to use "no". Even if it just correlated it with making the dog stop, that's still pretty impressive
They have the intelligence of a 4 year old and can string words together in a sentence if learned words.
Birds comprehend quite a bit of human language. Up to the level of 5 year olds. So I read.
Get told "No" thousands of times, its bound to sink in lol
Training a bird, they can learn to associate the word "No" with not getting what they want. The bird probably felt like the dog wanted to bite and was telling it that it can't get what it wants. The words "Don't bite" most likely came from it biting the human, as I doubt that the dog would've done the biting for it to learn what it meant
@@chrono-glitchwaterlily8776 no. They actually understand words to the level of a five year old, maybe higher. They can create meaningful and unique phrases and grammatical structures and they have an innate sense of rhythm as humans do. It is hard to measure animal intelligence because even though their minds and perspectives are similar they are also different in many ways, and inferior in some ways yet superior in other ways.
we used to have an African Grey who would call the dog to her then scold him. Poor puppy got so confused.
+Aysvin ...........that hilarious...lol
+Aysvin My mom used to have a cockatiel who called her dog. When the dog came running to see who called him, the silly bird would just sit on his perch and laugh his ass off.
lol
I had a Timneh African Grey who used to call my Jack Russel by saying, "You gotta poop?!". The poor dog realized it was the bird after about a week and ignored that phrase unless one of us said it to her face
Aysvin aww same thing
The macaw has such a surprisingly deep, human-sounding voice.
Liuhuayue Some birds mimic perfectly. some have fun with the words and add their own 'accent' or twist. Just depends on the personality.
+Pie A La Mode And there is a bird that can mimic a lot of sound like a bird mimicing a chainsaw
+1337Sauce Ours sounds slightly cockney from his previous owner but I almost died the first time he copied me. The dogs were barking and he started squawking because there was someone at the door. I didn't realise I said the same thing to calm them whenever they go off on one but he shouted it before I had chance to. It was quite freaky! This morning a regular deliveryman asked me if we now had a parrot. I replied that we did and he said he stood waiting by the door for about ten minutes one day last week because he heard 'me' shouting "Hang on, just coming" LOL
You're thinking about the Lyre Bird, that indeed can mimic virtually anything it hears just one time. There is a video with David Attenborough where you can see it in action, it's pretty spectacular.
I have a British African Grey with an Italian accent.
"Ciao. Arrividerci."
Plot Twist: Dog tells bird, “Don’t fly.”
@Encyntra :0 me too!
lol
give money
We need more money!
This is robbery gimme ur money now
I think he listened better to the bird, lol.
Bird: "no"
*Dog stands still*
he was probably surprised to hear it speak english
Well, odds are the bird would bite her and the human wouldn't. It's a strong motivator.
Its the monotone way of saying it, dont beg with your dog to sit or be nice 🙂 with a smile, say it like you mean it and your dog should do it the first time
I mean if a big enough bird told me to do something I probably would too 😂😂
@@JamesJones-tu4pq All 3 dogs and the cat avoided my macaw unless it was on the floor outside the cage. The bird would lunge for them. Watch a big bird crack a Brazil nut...RESPECT!
Beautiful macaw
Thanks
+damstr8831 did the macaw type that?
+damstr8831
Hi. I would like to ask you how loud these Macaws are. I have watched a lot of videos about noisy Macaws and I can imagine how loud they can be. But for example when you keep a Macaw in a room where you close the door and your room is for example 3-4 meters away from his room, then how loud the voice of the parrot is in your room? Could you please make a very short video about it please? Or could you describe it at least? Thank you very much. :)
+Gonzales Speedy Hi, thanks for the comment. These birds are very loud, I'll see if I have any vids of him really screeching, as a point of reference try to imagine a young person with healthy vocal ability screaming as loud as they can for no apparent reason at any random moment :) We all love this bird and yet there are times when he is completely unreasonable and will scream/screech. Sometimes y daughters (and I have too) will scream back, which I think is what he wants... this behavior explains why, when I rescued him, his vocabulary was primarily the phrases 'stop it', 'shut up' and 'don't bite'! His vocabulary has expanded to now include some great laughing sounds, 'I love you' and he calls (our now deceased) dog and a few profanities (ex-housemate+myself on occasion)... Overall a good member of our flock, but they do require a lot of attention, care, space and patience.Check back for a vid of the loud version...~D
+damstr8831
Thank you very much, it was very helpful :) I hope you make a video about the Macaw when screaming. :D
Awwww. Your boxer is showing so much restraint. He is dying to give the bird a good sniff and play with him. I love his crooked little smile!
Tell that to the Macaw.
The Macaw doesn't think it's funny
@@barrysutton4589 Probably does though.
@@MyaTimes4 he really doesn't, if you know anything about animal behavior he's making it pretty clear he wants the dog to leave him alone.
The dog was a female.
In my view only bastards love boxers because they can relate to them
Parrot: "Don't bite!"
Also parrot: Tries to bite dog
Self defense 😂
And warning
They're very cheeky.
It is like dogs showing their teeth as a warning
That is an actual reason Parrot says that line. He learnt it from his "human" when he was biting him. He interpretted it not as "he is telling me I cant bite so I will tell the smae to the dog" but rather " he told me this when I was biting him so I will tell it too as I want to bite the dog too! "
You can tell by its color, condition and temperament this bird is taken care of really well.
Exactly (:
you can tell the Boxer is happy given its playful and curious behavior. That's not aggression but a submissive playful mood. The tail wagging is a good sign.
The macaw, however is giving the, "back off" signal. It's aggressive/defensive behavior. He feels threatened by the boxer and is threatening him back. No matter how gentle the animal, putting birds and predatory animals in such close proximity is a bad idea. Now that I'm done being a complete fun killer, I must admit that the video's amusing. :)
Mental as Anything That I agree with. Dog wants to play but the parrot is like..."back the fuck up, bitch!"
Mental as Anything You're completely right! The bird knows it's in danger even if the owner doesn't.
Janet Taylor Yup...the bird is hoping someone would give the dog a prozac or something to make it chill out...LOL
LOL I like it! xx
That dog gets bit once, it will never come back for a second round lol
And if the bird gets bit, it dies. It is so incredibly stupid for a bird owner to let dogs and cats have access to the birds. Mammal saliva carries a bacteria that bird bodies can't fight. Plus they have hollow bones that are very fragile.
TheBabyEinstein Agree!
TheBabyEinstein
Oh wow. I didn't know all this about birds. I figured if the bird was large and the dog was playful it would be fine. Thanks for the info.
I have experienced a sort of similar tragedy with dog and smaller pet...different animal other than a bird. I was little and had a large dog who was only playing with one of my gerbils. The dog killed the gerbil with one playful paw.
I was at school, my sister got in my room (she was two and our mom wasn't watching her). Sis got the gerbils out to play with them and the dog followed her in. I was devastated when I got home.
Aura Gael Yeah sometimes pet owners chill too soon after a cat bite or scratch on their bird because the bird seems okay, then quickly lose their bird to scepticemia (infection in the blood).
Stinky Chicken that bird gets bit once, it will never come back from the grave
Can we just take a moment to recognize how damn beautiful the bird’s feathers are.

Did that Bird just say *”Achoo!”* when it sneezed? That’s amazing! 😂🤣
It's imitating the dog's snout play
Lol
Honestly, the only way that I know this is because I do the same thing to friendly puppers... haha
@@DoubleOhBlandy I actually think it probably is sneezing. I have a macaw and they sneeze exactly like that.
Great catch!
What I found even cooler was how the parrot was “sneezing” at the dog! Dogs do this when they are playing and roughhousing to let the other dog know that they are still just being playful-and not trying to fight. My dogs do this especially if one bites too hard, and the other gets upset, the one that bit will sneeze and shake his head. 😊
your bird is beautiful.
Thank you, is that your bird in the pic?
It is! These guys are such characters. I couldn't imagine life without my Hobie bird. Although it would definitely be quiet :)
That's what she said
I love that the bird is "sneezing", signaling he's playing to the dog. The bird is better at communicating with that dog than most humans lol
Yes!
@Cecilia de León birds are very smart so it probably picked up the sneeze from the dog as playful behavior just like he learned don’t bite, if the bird was actually fearing it’s life it most likely would have flown in a stressed way or if it’s wings were cliped would be screaming chaotically, the bird seems to be just fine.
@Cecilia de León agreed, sneezing paired w/that head shake is a dog behavior indicating play and to diffuse tension. He's mirroring a behavior learned from the dog. Dogs do it to de-escalate play - he's likely using it to tell the dog to calm down. It's the head shake that gives away the fact that he's mirroring and not in fact "actually sneezing"
@@llsncl parrots do not mirror body language of predator animals.
That bird.... is super super scared. The wings, sneezing, beak, head, featheruse, all tell the dog to stay away becauss rhe bird is: terrified!!!!
The man giving the little Boxer commands is so good and so gentle with his voice. Beautiful bird, beautiful Boxer, just a very pleasant video. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful, peaceful moment.
My bird nipped my dog on the nose and she never messed with her again.
that is one badass bird holy sh
ikr, she tries to do that with me a lot too.
yo you wanna teach my bird to not go after my dogs if my blue and gold macaw is out of the cage it chases my big dog and little dog they got bit by my bird so many times whenever they see her out they hide lol poor dogs
Lol
Code Onyx maybe
The inflection in his voice when he says no is unsettlingly human
I love how the Macaw is mimicking dogs play behavior. Turning the head and blowing out air is how dogs signal that they are play fighting.
The parrot: “Sit”
Dog:-sits-
Parrot: “Good boy”
"Don't bite" aww :(
don't bite
*bites*
**consumes your life force**
Inhales your soul
"Absorbs your nutrients"
Macaw: Don’t bite
Dog: *Understandable, have a nice day*
What a beautiful bird.
I saw a macaw outside once, probably flew out of his owners window :/ I wanted to catch it, because it had 0 chance of surviving in this climate, but catching a flying bird outside is mission impossible :/
I'm not the owner of the bird but you have respect for helping that bird
I hate moments like that. You want to help those Birds but you cant do anything. you feel sorry for them and think about it all day :'( especially as a bird owner
xXAlmdudlerXx 5gc
Ours flew into a neighbor's tree once luckily we got it back
yeah i saw my cousin's dog leap up into the air to catch a parrot a few years back poor thing became a dog toy before I could chase the dog down come to find out the house a few doors down allowed their kids take it outside and it escaped
Boxers are great dogs. This made me laugh, he's so overwhelmed with confused excitement, Lol. And the macaw is absolutely beautiful.
“Walk On The Ocean” playing in the back... very nice
That baby said “no...don’t bite” too too cute🥰
Funny thing is, the Macaw easily has a stronger bite force than the Boxer, some even estimate that Large Macaws have a stronger bite force than Rottweilers.
They are not to be trifled with!
Beautiful bird puts equally beautiful dog in her place.
Never saw anything like it.
Too cute.
Too funny.
Even when the bird is telling the dog "No."
Funniest thing I've seen in a while.
That's a beautiful boxer boy.
thank you *
Wait. That cute little thing is yours?! He's so cute! What's your name?
@@BigShaneGillis Looking at your haircut I'd say its perfect for you then.
Ben Simmons Boxers are awesome stfu. My boyfriend's millionaire parents have a boxer.
@@BigShaneGillis Pets generally are for anti-social and messy people.
😂 " No! Don't bite!" For the Macaw to sound like a human to tell the boxer that is very hilarious!
"but be gentle" **SPAZZING OUT** "gentle.."
I think boxers have some of the funniest face expressions every they are almost human with there emotions lol
I love seeing the bird mimic the dogs play signals (the sneeze and head shake)
I love how he kept doing the sneezing thing, imitating the pup. Amazing birds; I just love them. Wish I could have one, but I do the right thing and live vicariously through YT.
That is a handsome, beautifully muscled Boxer.
Boxer: "i wAnt tO pLAy and /be your friend/"
Bird: *try me*
Your macaw is beautiful; I can tell he’s well-cared for. And I love how smart he is, telling the dog, “No!” and “Don’t bite!”
Boxers are the true clowns of the dog world! I love them!
If you take a Macaw out in sunshine, they put off this awesome smell. Smells like Heaven to me.
Beautiful blue & gold. Can tell he's a healthy birdy by that vibrant, well tended plumage! I see in the comments he was a rescue, well, it seems like he found the right person in the end ^_^
lol, I love how boxers act when they get excited.
Oh my god that boxer us just SO ADORABLE! I absolutely LOVE the way the doggie keeps looking @ her owner as if shes awaiting some type of communication. Ugh, so cute!
Meanwhile the parrot can bite as much as it wants. Like raising a cat that can talk.
I'm thinking never leave those 2 alone lol , his colors are amazing 👍
Gorgeous bird! And boxers are so goofy I’ve grown up with them. Such dorks😂
Boxer's are so silly! lol...
The bird is like, look here now, behave yourself. I can talk and you can't.
I genuinely couldn’t tell the dog was there in the thumbnail. It perfectly blended in with the floor.
Our rotty always wanted to play with our blue-fronted amazon. It took a hard pinch from our parrot to his nose to teach him a lesson. He always respected that parrot afterwards.
We have boxer and she always messed around near the parrots until one called her over to the cage and bit her now she won’t even go near our cockatiels🤣😂
Her wee tail just going crazy, aww they are both adorable, ty for sharing this :)
That bird is beautiful. And smart. It clearly said "Don't bite" and "No".
Macaw like; "hey I'm smarter than you dog; don't bite and mess w me!"
I love how the bird twitches his head like the dog and acts like he wants to bite. He mimics everybody in that house it looks like lol.
boxers are puppies forever. Always playful
Imagine if the macaw learns how to tell the dog to sit
It's funny to see it in a domestic bird because that's why the imitation ability evolved in the first place
Imagine if the dog talked back
Dog: HI HOW ARE YOU
Easy fight, ground types got nothing on flying types.
Ebon Hawk yeah, the type matchup here is unfair. The bird harshly lowered the dogs attack and it was just all over
Dani Meow chatot used echoed voice
You just made my day.
chatot vs snubbull
Normal type
What amazes me is that Macaws can outlive their owners 🦜
The colours are gorgeous!
I long so badly in my heart to own a Macaw or any large parrot, but I feel like I wouldn't have the means or the ability to care for them, and I feel undeserving of having one. I honestly feel bad for the birds, they look so stunning and free in their natural habitat, it's sad it's being corrupted by humans though. It's nice to see people willing to give these birds everything they can, and its nice to see them happy even though they're not in their natural environment. Enjoy your bird Sir.
If you ever find yourself with the time and money, perhaps you would like a cockatoo. They are medium sized birds with BIG personalities. But, as with any pet, make sure you do your research I'f you decide to get a bird. :)
***** Thanks for the suggestions. I feel the same way you do, this is why sometimes I think it's better to have a dog or cat. They're both custom made for human life and environment. If I ever get a bird, I might set it free eventually, although it would be really hard, but sometimes I think they might not be able to survive in their natural habitat since they might not know what food to eat or who's a friend or a foe. I'll keep thinking about it though.
Wow you made a very wonderful and well thought out comment. That's rare
It's really nice to see you putting the needs of the bird before your own. The way parrots are treated is a crime. The way they mate for life with a single partner (their owner) and form a bond, they live so freaking long..
Anyway. Thanks for seeing these beautiful creatures for what they are instead of a commodity. Upvoting
Simply due to the fact they can live to be 80 years old is enough to keep me from owning one.
I have heard of people making arrangements for pets who will outlive their humans but I also have had those same pets - birds and tortoises- end up in my animal shelter.
Thank God for awesome rescues that always step up!
The dogs wondering how the bird talks like humans lol so funny😂
Boxers are bug sweethearts. I love them.
Is the bird doing that sneezing thing that dogs do when they play?! That's hilarious
My dad has two rottweilers and an African grey parrot. His female dog went for the bird once and his male rotty budged her out of the way then blocked her with the bird under him. Letting the bird get back upto her cage. I bet she about laid an egg.
Males always protect I guess and wider how they bonded?
Girl: He's so cute! :)
Bird: Bruh, this thing is gonna eat me alive.
Very sweet. It hard to get different animals to get along, but it works over time, and sometimes it doesn't.
What a beautiful bird that is 😍
When the bird said don’t bite the dog looked at the owner and was like “did he just talk”?
Telling a boxer to be gentle...awe
Parrots have always been my favorite animals. The colors on it are genuinely one of the most beautiful things ever.
That is such a beautiful bird
I love the Boxer's "smile" what a face
Both of them are beautiful & cute. Thanks
That is one beautiful bird you have there sir! Respect 🙌
We love how the bird is squaring up to a dog easily 5 times his weight
@@jacksawyer3208 A parrot couldn't kill a boxer. Maybe a bird of prey could try.
@@hannahwilson4815those beaks are sharp and strong enough to take out an eye and break some bones. A prey animal doesn’t need to be able to *win* a fight, they just need to be not worth the trouble.
I love it! My African Grey tells my dogs shhhh or calls out their names and says "be quiet" when they are barking a lot. I need to get it on video.
What a beautiful bird 💙💛💙
Boxers are the cutest dog's ever!
On a lighter note as one having the same B & G Macaw. It's always great for the public to witness that these particular birds speak cognitively & don't just repeat 'Parrot fashion" as some species do x
No kidding. My sun conure, Lucia, uses context full and well. When people say "They just mimic" I look at them and respond "You've obviously never shared your home with a parrot." the cutest thing with Lucia though is how she says "Thank you" when we give her a treat. Never taught her that, she just picked it up. Then there's when the one person she, for some reason unknown, doesn't like comes near her and she displays all the swearing she's picked up over the years to show said person her displeasure at their presence, ONLY time she ever swears is when they are visiting >_> Yeeeah "They just mimic" my ass!
Techition LOVE that story! Had me LOL! That would make a great video if you could catch it.
@@Techition Right on. They know what they're doing. Incredible animals.
If your Macaw is anything like my mom's Blue Crowned Conure, that warning not to bite is like taking the gun off 'safety', just in case...Sugar has shown all my mom's other animals that they don't wanna be on his business end if they don't heed his warning.
I'm pretty sure his owner trained him not to bite him....sooooo
That dog was really strong , not let go . Thanks for sharing me and my parrot 🦜 stunning parrot & dog

That bird is gangsta
He really is he is saggin his tail feathers

Macaw: don't bite
Boxer: *sick moves*
Adorable, love how the birdy is not afraid of his "brother" but stands his ground and comes closer. and how playful the boxer is, he just wants to play, happy babies :)
Don't bite! No no
Dog boxer: stop this get some help
10 years later, still adorable 😊
Dogs looking at owner like, “you really gonna make me fight all my natural instincts?”
The way the boxer looks at him at 0:33 as if to say “wtf is going on? Why is my toy talking to me?” is just brilliant.
Beautiful bird. Great colors 😍👍😍
Not only does he tell the dog "don't bite" but he also imitates the dog's behaviors; snorting, shaking head etc. in an effort to communicate on the dog's level. Birds are smarter than given credit for!
The parrot is getting stressed. He knows the dog would like nothing more than to tear it apart.
that is one happy healthy looking bird (and dog too)
I need to teach my bird this, she bites so much! But she makes up for it with me giving her scritches....lol
