- IAF fielding LCA Tejas in combat exercise
The annual Joint Military Training (JMT) between the Indian Air Force (lAF) and the Royal Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has commenced at Air Force Station, Kalaikunda in West Bengal on 3rd November after a gap of two year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This edition of JMT would be conducted over a period of six weeks. During the JMT, the air forces of India and Singapore would engage in various advance air combat tactics. The RSAF is participating with its fleet of F-16 fighter jets and IAF will field its Su-30 MKI, Jaguar, MiG-29 and LCA Tejas aircraft. The highlight of this exercise is LCA Tejas.
Recently, the LCA Tejas has also participated in ‘Garuda VII’ exercise which began on 26th October and culminate on November 12th. The Tejas is participating in this exercise along with Rafale, SU-30 MKI & Jaguar fighters of Indian Air force and Rafales of French Air & Space Force (FASF). These are the two recent military exercise where IAF has fielded LCA Tejas which help the fighter pilots to gain experience and military tactics against other fighter jets. However, the one fighter regarding which IAF would like to know more about is F-16 as it’s the one of the best fighter jets in the inventory of Pakistan Air Force.

In today’s video we are going to discuss in detail about the combat capabilities to F-16 Block-52 and LCA Tejas Mark-1 in operation with Indian Air Force.
In the world of fighter jet the F-16s are to best seller with nearly 2,242 planes in active service making up 15% of the world’s air forces. Lockheed Martin has sold more than 4,604 F-16s around the world. The fighter jet has been in service for 43 years. Compared to F-16, LCA Tejas is new platform with only 33 of them produced and 30 of them in active service. LCA Tejas was built in 2015, whereas the F16 was built in 1978 - almost 35 years before.

Tejas mk2,f-16 ki category ka medium weight multirole/air supiority fighter hai ,mk2 se comparison karna jyada behtar hoga..
U forgot to mention F16 block 50/52 has AN/ALQ 213 integrated EW system that includes Electronic counter measures, counter counter measures and tod decoy system.
AN/ALQ-131 & AN/ALQ-184 Electronic jamming pods on centerline.
To be honnest tejas would never be able to down f16 unless its been flown by a amature f16 pilot. Because in battle ground its not only the fighter aircrafts, there is lot more systems which will work simultaneously. F16s would be eqsily able to know the presence of tejas and make itself ready for it, similarly tejas too would know that f16s are on its way. It matters on the strategy of the command and how many assets are employed. F16 in visual range would easily dominate tejas in most of senario. Same would go for f16 vs mki. Mki would eat f16s in a dogfight in visual range.
The only issue in this comparision is that Tejas is not the most powerful or 2nd most powerful aircraft in the inventory of IAF. On the other hand F16 is the best or second best (J-10) aircraft in the inventory of PAF

@@biswajitmajumder9922 That is mainly due to difference in capabilities of the pilot. If the pilots are equally trained (like it was an American pilot in place of Pakitani pilot) then situation will be completely different
F-16 is better than j-10c,also than Tejas mk1,Tejas mk2 will be competitor of f-16 new varients..
@@unknown_5107 That's what I am saying. Comparing F-15 and Tejas Mk1 doesn't make sense as F16 is one of the best with PAF. On the other side Tejas Mk1 isn't.

We are too backward pls don't compare with this , China too far from us still we are pride with tejas but its not enough they reached 5th gen ,now they are going for 6 th gen , but we still in tejas that too with American engines , all project are getting delayed, we are just talking only there is no actions , plan all are in drawing board only , implement is slow, we are afraid about failure, don't wait for TOT from other country , use indigenous respect that . Pls talk about this , don't wast time with comparing India with small country
