When I was taking General Chemistry 2, everybody told me that I had the worst professor and that there was no way that I could pass that class. I got frustrated, not gonna lie, but I decided to make it work. I did everything in my power to pass that class. The professor gave us this type of workbooks just as a practice (not for points) and nobody wanted to do it cause it wasn't worth any points. But I still did them, I went to the campus on days I didn't have any classes, I went to my professor's office hours and asked for my tests to see what I had wrong, or just to ask about a topic, and I ended up passing the class with a B+. And even thou I really wanted an A+, I felt so good when I saw my grade cause I know that I worked hard for that B. So get it done kids! You will feel powerful passing the class that everybody said that there was no way to pass it.
I feel like the tip on studying with the right people is so important!! Personally I’ve found that friends I’m closer to or have a better bond with tend to be the worst people to study with. I get easily distracted and we end up talking a lot more. Honestly this goes for classes too, which is why I force myself to sit next to strangers. Plus you meet new people this way! The last tip is geared more towards shyer people like me; if you don’t understand something and you’re too nervous to ask a question in front of an entire class, office hours are your friends! I can’t stress this enough, instructors notice when you’re putting in effort. If you can’t make it find a different way to fit something similar into your schedule!E-mailing is always an alternative!
Yasss Kiara Also: who else thinks that Kiara is so trendy and a supper professional you tuber and thinks that she needs more fame? Like if you are subscribed or agree
I just went from a failed paper to the best grade of the Class. You get what you put into and I knew that I could actually turn my grade around. So I put into the effort and believed in my abilities
One of the biggest things I've learned is setting your habits early! They more you start to associate certain things with studying the better! That helped me out a lot this semester as I just transferred and at my previous school there was ultimately only one place I could get work done at bc of my association with it. This semester I've done so much better at finding better habits and creating them early and now I almost have straight A's! (I have one B in math, which I'm fine with, but I'm still trying to pull that A out).
omg thank you so much for this Kiara! i have a really stressful math test tomorrow that i’ve been doubting myself about. you totally just changed my perspective on it! i’m going to do what i can and go into the test with a positive attitude!
Thank you for this video! I was feeling kinda stuck so this helped motivate me. Also could you make a podcast or something haha cuz I could seriously listen to you all day because your advice is so good and you’re just nice to listen to!!
This was so well thought out and it really was a pep-talk. Even though I'm not in college, it's still nice to hear those pick me ups from time to time! I've always gotten straight As and I've always tried to get straight As, so having a good attitude and mindset can really help with homework and tests. Great job!
You're such a babe. I appreciate these kinds of videos from you. With all the stuffs happening, I feel like not many people even consider educating themselves. Not going to college is a choice but you gotta keep educating yourself. Keep that mind exercising. Lots of love Kiara & best wishes!
This video honestly couldn't have come at a better time, I'm so stressed with school and life in general right now and I just really needed to hear what you said. Thanks for being amazing
I love you!! You are constantly motivating others and pushing everyone to be the best version of themselves (as cheesy as it sounds). This is why I get excited when I see you posted a new video - you spread positivity 😊
I am at a community college, I lost a little credit on discussion papers in sociology for not clearly answering the questions. I got mad at the Professor for writing to be more clear. Some advice I received to get full credit is to put more thought in answering questions for discussion papers. Which is what I learned from my professor.
Um I'm like currently drowning in school work yet I'm procrastinating here on youtube haha. You are such a girl boss with all the things going on in your life and balancing it all!
So jealous of the fact that college students in the states can choose their own teachers and ultimately decide when during a day they want their lecture to be. Here in Norway we get stuck with the teachers we get and they decide when the lecture is gonna be. It would be so much better for me if I could choose for myself what suits me the best. Thank you so much for this video, I'm gonna take all the tips with me for my next year at college! xx
Ugh that's so not fair! I feel like you're old enough and smart enough to make your own decision about your classes! Thanks so much for watching anyways!
I started uni this fall, got A's for my first tests, but then I had one very important one and I was definitely doubting my self and boom I got my worst grade :D trying to boost my mood for the second test of that subject so I can actually upgrade my final grade!
My best moment of turning a grade around was for my BA (undergraduate?) thesis: i struggled soooo hard and got a 4.8 (out of 10 haha), and then got to resit and got a 6.2 (6 was the minimum grade required to finish the degree) and so like, the fact that I even got .2 higher than necessary was the best moment of my BA degree lol (I shed many a tear during my thesis process lol)
i cant remember if you did this vid already (ive only been watching you for a couple months ehh) but if you didnt could you do a video abiut how to plan your future/how to pick your college?
Hi Kiara! My name's André and I am from Brazil! Your videos are more the great I love them actually and they help me a much with my life organization! Thank you so much!!!!
My first year at university is not what I expected to be. I'm getting the grades that I normally don't get but I know I will turn them around. Thank you for your tips kiera ❤😊
Hey hey hey from your neighbors to the north at U-dub haha!! So I know this is a long shot from you seeing this but I will actually be visiting University of Oregon with my team in a few weeks for the Ultimate Frisbee tournament you guys are hosting. I understand you have a crazy life but it would be an honor to be able to meet one of my favorite UA-camrs : ) but again, I completely understand if you can't! Keep living the dream and thanks for the great vid!!
hi, what’s your major? i discovered your channel today bc i’ve been binge watching dorm room tours and hauls bc im going to UF in the fall (go gators! ;) ) and im super excited and your channel is super helpful!
I love your channel: it's so motivating and fun to watch. I love your tips and tricks on everything from designing your room/apartment, clothing hauls and specially your study guides. I'm in grade 11 and I know it's wayyy to soon but I think about collage all the time; about my social life and marks for different classes. I guess I'm worried if I can keep my straight A's from high school during post-secondary. Btw is it too personal if you could tell us how your marks were in high school? I know you got straight A's and a perfect GPA, but what I mean is were your marks above 90%? My goal for this year was to get at least 90% on my courses but most of my grades have a range of 86-89%.
Thanks so much for you sweet comment! My high school GPA was a 3.96 and the thing that I learned is that in almost all of my classes it was so easy to push just a little bit harder and turn a high B into an A! It's amazing what that little bit of effort can do in terms of booting your grades and allowing you to be eligible for more scholarships! Keep up the hard work
in fifth grade i cheated on a test. ever since then, i realized that i needa step up my game! ever since then ive found the most simple way to study is simply rewrite or reteach yourself the notes you took in class.. that means for me writing exactly what my teacher wrote
I just watched a few of your videos and I thought ‘wow she’s so grown up she’s a junior in college’ meanwhile my dumbass is literally a sophomore in college I forgot lmao 😂😂

This just motivated me to do better in my gen chem 2 (since I did very bad in gen chem 1, it’s kinda hard) but THANK YOU!!
