Good evening can you use DTF on phone cases as well?
hello! do you use cymk for printing? may i know if you've tried to do rgb with a cymk printer? im seen a guy use rgb settings from a cymk printer and the result was more vibrant.. the black is black, not very dark brown like the regular cymk printout..
i have our prints from him before, but lately they weren't putting high on the printer setup and the prints are grainy.. idk why they won't adjust it to high.. i had to opt for a different print shop, but they can't get the colors vibrant even if they use rgb in settings..
they both have epson L1300 btw..

I just started sublimation phone cases. Do they all have a slightly glittery look to them? On mine, the white part has a glitter look to it even after the image is transferred
What did you use? The paper one that you printed a picture/design. Is it ordinary bondpaper or a photo sticker paper?

is there a template
Why did you press with the substrate up and the print/paper underneath? Was it just because the print/paper was larger than the substrate?
The metal is thin enough to transfer the heat through :) and its just what has worked best for this substrate hope this helps
When you print the pictures do you use normal paper? Or special one
using sublimation paper,normal paper can not work.
What temperature and how many seconds?
Hi. My black and white photo came out pretty greenish. I am wondering if I should have some kind of printer color profile or do something to make the paper work with A Sub paper. Also using Printers Jack anti UV ink. With an epson 2760. Do you have any thoughts on why I'm getting this greenish cast? I set the paper setting on the Epson to Premium Matte. Would love your thoughts.

You will need a printer that uses sublimation ink to print for sublimation.
So we have to use a certain type of paper for it to work or would any time of paper work?? Another question is.. if I don’t have a heat press would a Iron do the same thing?

Hi Jorja. I use Cricut Design Space to edit my designs. What I did with this one is I imported a sublimation design into the software, cropped it to the size of the phone case and added the font on top before I sent it to my sublimation printer. Do you need a sublimate printer? Or could you just use a normal one. Without sublimate ink. You could just print it right?
To sublimate, you would need to use sublimation ink and paper. This is a method that dyes the ink into the special coated material. You can just print a sublimation design on an inkjet printer - but you have to use a different method to apply to a phone case.

They were printed by a Sawgrass Sublimation printer on Truepix sublimation paper.

Yes make sure you had the Teflon sheets
you can but there will always be burns, defects and damages and/or areas where the print won''t fully transfer.. I have currently made around 15 phone cases using an iron and only around 2 or 3 had no defects.. most of them are for practice and for our personal use.. but there were ones for customers where I wasted 3 cases because all had damages..
if you're going to do this for business, you need to have a regular heatpress.. we just ordered a heatpress, still out for shipping..

For the printer, just a regular inkjet printer but you use special sublimation ink for it.
The paper: also special sublimation paper, looking through the comments the paper type they used is called truepix classic.

I did not. I do some times but its worked fine both ways

Yes every time you sublimate on the top of the blank you need to mirror :)

That's way too long. I over pressed mine. Recommendation should be closer to 60 seconds.
