During Mubarak's ruling, Egypt was under emergency law for 24 years, but we didn't hear any criticism from the west, during muslim brotherhood era Christians and secular muslims were tortured and killed, yet again not a hint from western media especially BBC
Now, when we have an honest, patriotic an dedicated president, suddenly all are interested in human rights. David Cameron himself was not in support the human rights act when it interferes with national security.

According to my point of view president sisi doesn't value the human life. He is really not good president his heart and soul hold by satan ( evil ).life and death is from the hand of allah (swt) and not from the hand of sisi and his army...i thought army and president is the one who protect his people and army is the one who fight for the right of people not easily killing their people and put it on jail even though they know many on the jail is innocent. Dont have fear mr. Sisi for all evil you do? Dont you remember that life in this dunya is only temporary? Dont you have reminded that president mission is to be a servant of people not the king of people ( the only king and the owner of heaven in the earth is allah (swt)). I HOPE THIS MESSAGE CAN READ BY PRESIDENT SISI PUTTING YOUR PEOPLE IN JAIL AND KILLING THEM IS NOT THE SOLUTION FOR DEMOCRACY YOU'VE SAID. YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE COUNTRY FOR KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE AND PUTTING THEM TO JAIL REMEMBER THAT WITHOUT YOUR PEOPLE YOUR COUNTRY IS USELESS, YOUR PEOPLE IS YOUR POWER, FOLLOWERS, HELPER, FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HOW CAN YOU BE A REAL PRESIDENT THAT EVEN SMALL CHARACTER OF BEING A GOOD LEADER IS NOT ON YOU? INSTEAD OF KILLING AND PUTTING INNOCENT PEOPLE IN JAIL WHY DONT YOU ASK YOUR PEOPLE NEEDS, PROBLEMS AND SUGGESTION? YOU WILL CONTINUE WHAT YOUR DOING YOUR COUNTRY WILL BE HISTORY AND YOUR POSITION WILL BE END AND NO DEMOCRACY HAPPEN BUT ENDING MANY INNOCENT LIFE. I HOPE ALLAH (SWT) WILL DELIGHT YOUR HEART AND SOUL AND FORGIVE YOU.

February 15 1839, the British hanged 5 of our men in Montreal Quebec. Over 800 political prisoners were illegally kept and starved in the prison by the British. The British came into Quebec (read about the battle of the Plains of Abraham of 1759.) and came after us and seized power of our lands and businesses. These men were merely standing up to say : “no”, we want to have sovereignty over the land we worked so hard to plow, and the businesses WE built. This is why Quebec wants to hang on to the French language. We constantly have to push back against power and control of Ottawa. The same is being experienced in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The people are fed up with British Ottawa. Ottawa is constantly putting their nose into our affairs just so they can extract every penny we have. They change laws to extract more and more from us and allow their friends with large businesses to prosper. The free trade accord drafted by Chrétien was a disaster. Businesses here fell like dominos. Chrétien basically gambled our birthrights to help large corporations in the USA. This is why the US likes Canada so much because we apparently, just roll over and play dead.
When accusing countries of dictatorship remember the past. Take a good look at yourself and what you have done. Seems to me someone needs a mirror.
These people the British hanged were not extremists; they were just people who wanted jurisdiction over their own affairs. If you have a land and a neighbor comes and says: “give me your land” is it extremism to say no?

I don't like this guy. And I'm Egyptian. I'm not oppressed at all, I'm actually considered fairly well off by Egyptian standards. I absolutely hate this guy because the military has nothing to do with politics. And when it takes over everything, it gets ugly.

Ok first off, I absolutely HATE the Mubarak and Sisi comparisons. Mubarak was extremely old and went through everything in his regime. He was taken down because people didnt believe his bullshit. Sisi cracks down on literally everyone who knows anyone who thinks about liking a comment where someone said sisi looked bad in any way. That's the situation people are in right now. So it's not as easy as going in the streets and calling him off again.
Secondly, in which country in which world does someone win by 97% of the votes. If that is not screaming corrupted votes and fake votes, I don't know what is. And even in the extremely slim chance that he actually got 97% of true votes, why is everyone hating him now? And why is he jailing opposite opinions and political opponents if they were only backed by 3%? I could go deeper in the numbers, but I've got some better things to use my mind and time for.

Why are the people here not seeing that Morsi was taking too much power for himself and his party is a supporter of extremism and the eventual installation of theocratic Isis-like situation, As limited as people in Egypt seem to believe their freedom is right now, Egypt would be far less free with the alternative. You're lucky that you have people in power who are fighting to save secularism and freedom from extremism, for all citizens.

We've seen authoritarian governments in Egypt for over 70 years. And I can tell you, this guy is the worst. Regardless of the laws of the country, and regardless of what the Muslim Brotherhood did in 1 year. Who in their right mind sells/gives away their land? Last time I heard of that was when Russia gave Alaska to America.. in 1867.... Now I don't care about his political agenda. But that in itself says a lot about how 'free' Egyptians are now.. They can't even vote against giving away land to other countries.

Secularist politics can go to hell. In a Muslim majority country, we need a president that represents that majority all while respecting the minorities. That's what he did. Now there was no power he took for himself, or else he would have never been removed. If he took a single bit of power and showed the military guys that he truly had power, they would not have DARED touch him.

@@officerahmo you literally represent every person that hates the president, there excuses are always "that traitor kicked morsi" "that traitor works with another *random country name* country" "that traitor sold Tiran and sinafeer"blah blah blah , Egypt is a fully democratic country but nobody has rights to support terrorism and as a president that saved Egypt from a bunch of terrorists then nobody has the rights to criticize him , and about selling lands it's for a reason Tiran and sinafeer for example was never an Egyptian land but Abdelnasser technically "peacefully invaded it" so that if Israel decides to invade Egypt the soldiers can move to Egypt very easily to hunt down the Zionists , but nowadays there are a lot of ways that can easily lead to Sinai and Saudi kept asking for Tiran and sinafeer so why not give it too them? It's much closer to Saudi than it is to Egypt I bet not that much Egyptians used to visit these islands or live there anyways.
