I hear a lot of guys are using the magnetic parts bins from HF to put the nuts in.
Great mods.
I like the attention to detail adding some Titanium green to it.
Can you post a link to that caster kit?
I appreciate you taking the time to share your ideas and thoughts on quality of welding machine.
Dang Son, what a great bunch of ideas! I have the same table but I never thought of any kind of modifications to it.
It's funny, there's a Harbor Freight up the highway about 20 mi from us my wife does most of the driving and when we get near that store I finally figured out what she was doing because when we get to the store she pointed to her left and say look there's a unicorn there's a three-legged monkey there's an orange and purple John Deere tractor!
Well I finally caught on to what she was doing,
And now when I get by the Harbor Freight I say oh look they got pocketbooks on sale in there.lol.
Anyway yeah I shop there a lot when she lets me and I noticed you do too and Tractor Supply is across the road from that and so I'll visit them when I can. And oh yeah that is a great little welder you got!
Thanks again for your video and I could understand every word you said because you talk the same English as I do.lol!
Great ideas and mostly the one for your grinders
I like the grinder bar and j hooks for the cords....great ideas
I have shown my wife the prices on harbor freight vs the red or yellow man toys. I bought the titanium table a few days ago. That metal pen board caught my eye, but the bolt and pipe spacer is the golden ticket. I bought Vevor mag drill will go very well with the metal welding table. Champ down my work hang it over the edge and avoid the helicopter of death scenario. Thanks for sharing.
Hear me out.
Buy a sheet of at least 1/4" thick steel the same size as your table.
Unbolt the top from the table.
Use it as a template to drill holes in the steel sheet.
Reassemble the table with both tops.
No longer have to screw with nuts on the back.
@@1978garfield Yes, that’s been the problem with many of these style tables… the top is just not thick enough for a standard friction fit clamp to work. Problem is, if you’re gonna spend the $200 for another piece of 1/4” steel to fit on top of the already close to $200 table…. You might as well just upgrade to a true fixture table (the weld-yourself kits are a GREAT option) top, then fab up some of your own own legs out of 4” Square stock and some casters. For about $450-500 you have a true fixture table that is certified to be within 3-thou flat across the whole top. So I have this table AND a certi-flat, and use both frequently. Bought this as a table to toss in the pickup and take to buddies houses for roll cage projects, suspension fabrication, and lightweight fab work on their trucks. I would say either use it as this gentleman has with about $50 in “mods”, or just step up to a true fixture table. Spending all that money to get halfway in between just isn’t the best bang for your buck.
I can vouch for that vevor. The oiler cups are trash, so I got in touch and they gave me half my money back. I think it ended up being like $80 and I've used it on multiple jobs with some cheap Jestuous annular bits. Ed's Red makes a helluva bit lube and penetration oil as well.
Great mods. One idea for next time on the shelf would be to bend the two sides and back up (as you did), but bend the front down. Then you've got all the strength and stability, but you can slide heavier things in and out without having to lift them over a lip. Might even be able to fabricate a drawer.
Very nice! I really like this, and I'll be getting myself setup this way too, as soon as the table is back in stock at my Harbor Freight!
Oh, cool! You’ve done what I want to do when I get my Klutch table from Northern Tool (exact same product). Future project: weld in a scissor jack to raise and lower the table.
👍
I like what you done with the welding table
Nice job on the modifications, looks like its going to work great for you! The welder looks to be a good one also.
You did very nice mods to the table. Thank you for the video.
@@johnreecer6839 where did you get the casters at? I work at hft and we just got one of these in I picked it up and want to do the same thing you did it,looks super cool!
@@misterjustice995 Amazon search 3inch double locking stem casters with m10 x 1.5 mm bolt will screw right in
Now I just have to wait until the table is back in stock. Great Mods.
Thanks for the ideas! YT suggested your video while I was looking at videos for this type of table. I modified my Klutch-brand table very similar to yours. Pegboard on both sides with a basket for the small items, two layers of 7/16" OSB for the shelf, bar on the back to hang the grinders.
Nice mods! Gonna use the pegboaard idea .......but turn the hooks inward to keep from jamming in my legs.
I really like the mods I'm considering to do them myself I'm getting me a tig welder so I think that setup is great!
I like it! Great job!👍👍
Good ideas! I’ll definitely be using a few of these on my table.
We added wheels, and a bench vise to ours, we need to find some locking wheels, but a locking pliers did fine too.
The best part of the video. Is when the boston terriers came out love those dogs
Cool Boston Terriers you have there- great dog- hard headed at times, but overall good breed.
How about some links in the description for like the casters, the ArcCaptain welder. The bar and J-hooks, and stops you made are great ideas.
Sorry don’t know how links work but the casters are from Amazon 3inch double lock m10 - 1.5 mm bolt , the welder ordered it from arccaptain website on their Labor Day sale .
@@johnreecer6839 Go to whatever page you like, copy what is in the address bar on that page, and then edit your description, example Amazon wheels: and paste in the link you copied.
Thank you, I was able to find them all, and bookmark them so I could order them.
Ended up getting the vivor welding table it already has all your modifications done for me lol nice job i would do the same
Some cool ideal just got my table.they finally got them back in stock
Well done sir!
I was at Harbor Freight about an hour ago and saw this table. It's on my list. The first thing I thought of when I was looking at it was it would be nice with casters. Where did you get yours?
Also, I really like the grinder rack with the cord hooks. Nice touch.
Got them off Amazon just searched 3 inch double locking casters m10-1.5 thread bolt, thanks for watching.
@@johnreecer6839
I just looked them up. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Looks great good ideas.
Very good additions!
Liked but I would also have liked to know how flat the table is?
Used a steel framing square only found one small dip under one mounting bolt other then that is flat
Nice job, one question it there any problems with the top of the table being thin like wastage on items clamped dow?
Nice cart. I'm not a welder but I noticed your wire wheel. Is there any wheel where the wires don't come off? Your buddies got 4 paws to catch them wires I know my feet take the heat so I stopped using them. If you know of a substitute for the wire wheel be much appreciated. Thanks.
Wish I could find a wire wheel that didn’t, I don’t let the dogs in when I’m working and sweep up first.
where did you def those casters? great vid btw
I was going to do the same mods to mine except all the HF stores in Arizona do not have any and have no idea when they will get more. There are none on their delivery notices. Someone really screwed up by not having very many available for sale.
Great Mods. Just subscribed to your Channel
Glad to hear there’s a fellow Hillbilly on here shooting Videos! 🤣🤣🤣
Keep up the Good Work
Great job could you post a link to where you bought the casters? Thanks

Hey man I like the video. Just make sure to keep your skin covered especially your arms. The UV is serious stuff. Please read up on welding PPE
Do you have a link to the casters you used? Thanks.

Cool!

Angle brackets are used for.........?
Brought to you by Arc Captain. Here's a glimpse of some shiite, now let's get back to promoting Arc captain.
Oh wow the peg board is a GREAT idea! Well done. How do you like the table so far? Really tempted to pull the trigger myself
👍🏼
I was on the fence on these tables. Your mods have me sold now. Thanks.
