  • Fresh off The Crown red carpet last night, actor and producer Greg Wise is joining us today for Grief Awareness Week. He’ll be opening up about the impact of losing his sister Clare in 2016 and highlighting the difficulty of mourning during the Christmas season. Greg will also be telling us about his 20-year-anniversary-faux-pas to wife Emma Thompson, what the couple’s favourite Christmas film of all time is (it might not be what you think…) and marking the end of The Crown.

Absolutely love Greg Wise. His message about allowing ourselves to grieve when society expects us to be happy and joyful is so important.

    Hello,
One of my favorite aunts became a widow after 62 years. I am aware of the fact that when a woman becomes a widow( or a man widower) that she z( or he) gets a lot of attention/ support for about 1 month then nothing. So…. I made it a point to call her (long distance) every weekend for a year and chat with her for however long she wanted to chat. At the time, I was very busy teaching high school Spanish but I made the time for my weekly call. Hopefully, this gesture on my part made a positive difference in her life! Elizabeth Goodrich, Texas

You're so right. The world seems to move on and people forget but those grieving still need someone. I'm sure your aunt appreciated that very much.

Wills are important and also have a digital will so people can log into your accounts after death.
