You don’t know how much you’ve helped me. I’ve got it as a first plant, knowing nothing of it. I didn’t that caring is that hard for this plant. My problem was it always brought new leaves but when it was about to open, it dried off.. i was so angry. I’ve got like 30 plants since then, all of them are thriving except this one. That you for you help 🥰
It's really rough when we choose a difficult plant as our first one. It can be so discouraging. I'm glad you persevered. Happy growing!
Hi Rachel, I think I will stick to visiting these beauties at the botanical gardens, since I have killed 2 in the past. They are absolutely lovely. 🥰
Ah yes, they are often killed off. Well, if you ever decide to have another go, you know where to find the information!
I’m on my third one and I think I finally got it right. I’ve had my last one for about 7 months and she’s thriving! ❤
Great to hear ❤️
I found this easier to care for than calatheas I've had. My home gets very dry in the winter and that's what hurts it the most.
That's interesting but it has been my experience too.
Thank you so much Rachel I really really enjoyed watching you tell us all about the stromanthe triostar I have one and I really really love ❤❤❤❤ this plant. I also have a few Calathea’s too, as I’m trying to build up my collection. But I’m very impressed by you too
Glad it was helpful!
Very good advice, Rachel! It is absolutely true that they do not support hard water, they die in a short time. In the cold months I water less and add a little fungicide to the water as a preventative, and if the air is very dry from the heating I spray with rain or distilled water. They are like babies haha
Haha. Yes, this plant is a labour of love ❤️Great tips!
Planning on getting one
A super plant, very rewarding.
I enjoyed watching😊🙏💖
beautiful plant, but i think maybe i should wait a while on this one. lol thanks for sharing and i enjoyed the video. stay safe.
One to work up to maybe 😊
Love your video
Hello Rachel, can this plant be kept in clay soil? Haven't changed from nursery pot
I am not sure what you mean. Do you want to use 60% garden soil with the 40% perlite? That is probably okay. You will need the 40% inorganic though, such as perlite, for good drainage.
How can i propagate mine? I would like to remove just one piece instead of pulling out entire plant.
You need to remove the plant from the pot and take a division from the side. It is the safest way.
@@GardeningatDouentza thank you
What type of soil yo use for reporting?
