I don't what it is but there's something about stormwater drains that makes them so much more interesting to me, Maybe it's the never quite knowing what's connected to what or where, until a jetting head is sent up and there's literally a twist in the tail! Four stormwater drains in one adventure? Surely that's a record of some sort! (I wonder if there's going to be an awesome feature-length blockbuster video for the 1000th one? Even full of dead roots such a video would have more life in it than a modern Hollywood film!) I hope you had a great Christmas and wish a very happy and prosperous new to you and your family! May sound strange but your videos are a hit at the household after dinner with my kids! We only watch stormwater ones but they love it and calms them right down before bedtime.

i was a machinist for a long time and I was surprised to see the inserts used on the Samurai head were the same as we used for our lathe tools . Coated carbide and indexable .
That new samurai nozzle looks like a good one to get stuck in some broken pipes. I could see it going in, rotating slightly, and never coming back out.

Thats a curious choice using those carbide inserts on the Samurai. Like someone else said they are predominantly used on metal turning lathes. They are great for cutting all kinds of metals and plastics but they are very brittle, dropping that head even from waste height could easily chip, break or shatter those inserts. If the Samurai was spinning i think it would be very effective at cutting thru roots and other blockages and because those inserts are ISO are readily available so would be easy to swap out on a job if one does break or become blunt. Please dont take this as a negative comment or put down, just an observation, i use those inserts everyday at work. Love the videos.

G'Day Ollie, Fantastic Job as usual. I think you should call the DC the Exterminator!! Never seen anything like iron coming from the mountain via storm water.. That Iron water would be gold in the horticultural world especially for plants like Hydrangea, Azaleas, Camellias Rhododendrons Raspberry and Citrus fruits . Ratty kept away from the iron, I suppose he was worried about being labelled IronRat 🤣 Chris is a nice customer too..
When you first showed the new samurai head, I was initially thinking it spun while water was shooting thru it as to actually cut rather than just have a pokey sharp end.
Ollie not that I don't watch every blocked drain anyways but it's been a while since a random search through the forest for hidden corn 😅 It reminded me of a "blocked drain" version of a HowToBasic video 😁
That new nozzle could do some damage to the PVC popes with those carbide inserts used to cut steel. I would also think they would go through clay pipes.
