When I saw them in Pontiac Michigan, they played with 4 Australian bands. They played 2nd. Most people left after them, rather than see Jet or The Vines.. ya :)
Seen them in Atlanta around 2000, they stuck around and talked to people after the performance. My brother and I got to shake their hands and tell them that they were awesome.
I got to see them at warped tour. They were the first act so everyone was shopping. Best live act there and people would rather shop. That’s when I knew warped tour was gonna die. I had a great front row seat with all the room in the world. They didn’t even care. Still went hard and blew my mind.
whats everyone complaining about? his voice sounds perfectly fine to me, better than a lot of other punk, or rock (or psychobilly or whatever you want to call them) bands out there, his voice just sounds matured from when they first started like... almost (if not more) 20 years ago? Stop complaining, enjoy the music, and be glad they are still playing what they love
they did make it here. im born and raised in nyc and i love these guys. chris is one of the most talented guitar players in the world. sorry they weren't on trl, but they've got millions of fans.
Just for the record, a couple of years ago, went to see Chisel (My Favourite Band) at Perth Arena (probably not the best venue I have seen them at). The Living End Killed it. One of the top 5 shows I have had the pleasure to witness. They do deserve greater acknowledgement, but popularity not talent is what counts today.
lol at the green day comment. first time i heard TLE was i saw the music video for prisoner of society on mtv and said "this is green day with TALENT." then i bought their cd and said these guys are in a whole other league than green day.
its not you, apparently thats the look he's going for. They did start off as a stray cat cover band so it makes sense that he would start emulating setzer at some point. AWESOME VIDEO. Thank you so much for posting!!
Saw Them with dead Kennedy's n another band n 88 finger louie. Living end is better than dead Kennedy's! But 88 finger louie is still my favorite band.
What a shame Channel Nine didn't see the significance of this last night. Pre-game entertainment. Aired one song before moving to ads about gambling etc and we didn't get to see TLE performance. Criminal.
mentioning the stray cats actually there my favorite band and its threw a brian seter video with chris chesney they i got into the living end ive thought they were awesome ever since! :)
i am 12 years old and i love the living end and green day and can just say that they are not alike, like some people are saying, also what is the name of the first song, its on the tip of my tongue but for the sake of me i can't think of the name
nope he doesn't...he moved to NY due to the heat. he still has his house in st kilda but spends more time in NY but thanks for the insult on the end...makes you look so good on you tube..
heard they just finished a rap-rock record produced by fred durst of limp bizkit. they're calling it "slammin ass with the big dogs". it's gonna fuckin rule!
Did Chris take up smoking or something? I've seen these guys live many times and he's always put on an amazing show and sung very well, this is just sad :-(
if you want to post your crap on youtube you are subject to whatever criticism/compliments come your way. if you can't take it stop trying to be a rock star.
green day with a double bass? someone has never listened to their other stuff...look at chris's guitar playing for a start. and the double bass is in there from their roots. and they did make it in america. chris fucking lives over there...so shut it.
It's really a shame these guys didn't make it bigger here in the States. I've always loved their music. Definitely one of my musical inspirations.
Awesome to here these guys getting heard in the states
sfgiantstorture same I'm like you

@@Loganthegreat11 SAME! I love TLE! I'm from Perth, Australia and have seen them play at least 10 times.
"the Greatest Live Act in Australia." Bold statement. 1, 000, 000 % true.
No mate not even close
I really love The Living ENd!
Absolutely
Being in Canada, I have been sheltered - never heard of The Living End before the 2016 Grand Final. Soooooo good! Can't get enough of these guys now.
they are awesome
Check out " rocket from the crypt " also.
Born in '69
You’re on the right track!
I got to see them at warped tour. They were the first act so everyone was shopping. Best live act there and people would rather shop. That’s when I knew warped tour was gonna die. I had a great front row seat with all the room in the world. They didn’t even care. Still went hard and blew my mind.
if only i was born 10 years earlier i could have seen these guys in their prime
whats everyone complaining about? his voice sounds perfectly fine to me, better than a lot of other punk, or rock (or psychobilly or whatever you want to call them) bands out there, his voice just sounds matured from when they first started like... almost (if not more) 20 years ago? This is great. I hadn't heard this medley before 😀
Great Australian Band, Rock it Up TLE

this is one of the best things i've seen on youtube, seriously
such underrated musicians
5:22 ... SIMPLY AWESOME PERFORMANCE !!!! The voice, the rytmic, the guitar solo and the finish... woooooow. DRAMATIC AS HELL.
I heard the song "growing up" in the album "snow style 2000" and got to know them. It's the best melody.
Magnificent. Bravo.
I watched the footy show all night just to see this
Roll On is easily their best album
Australias National Treasure!
seeing these guys Saturday! =D
At least the second guitar,finally!
only because it was a medley and 1 guitar could not do all those changes without tuning,
'Other Hits Medley' A 10 second throwaway intro of their biggest song.
@LEFT4BASS
The final song is 'The beginning is just the ending repeating' which is off their new album of the same name. Boss song, especially live.
lol at the green day comment. first time i heard TLE was i saw the music video for prisoner of society on mtv and said "this is green day with TALENT." then i bought their cd and said these guys are in a whole other league than green day.
2020 🙌🏽
thank you heaps for the upload. i just watched song for the lonely then turned the telly off lol..
its not you, apparently thats the look he's going for. They did start off as a stray cat cover band so it makes sense that he would start emulating setzer at some point. AWESOME VIDEO. Thank you so much for posting!!
well done, thats talent
I love that there was only the slightest whiff of Prisoner...
I dig his voice here! I mean his voice is good all the time but it sounds deeper and tougher here!
Yeah I thought the same, if I was playing 'The Footy Show' I'd probably try to make the performance a bit more masculine too
Love these guys. Pity all the other so called rock has turned to shit...
damn that snares got some pop
Saw Them with dead Kennedy's n another band n 88 finger louie. Living end is better than dead Kennedy's! But 88 finger louie is still my favorite band.
I hope these guys tour Europe soon. :)
What a shame Channel Nine didn't see the significance of this last night. Pre-game entertainment. Aired one song before moving to ads about gambling etc and we didn't get to see TLE performance. Criminal.
I hope so aswell ! ;-)
The world has turned away from good music in favor of generic pop, and then there's Australia.
@Reido666 yeah its like that these days, bands that started back in the day dont get any new fans, they just keep their old ones
Watching this all i can think is ... Chris = Brian Setzer , Scott = Lee Rocker and Andy = Slim Jim Phantom .
mentioning the stray cats actually there my favorite band and its threw a brian seter video with chris chesney they i got into the living end ive thought they were awesome ever since! :)
Watch some of their older videos, even going back a year, you'll see the difference. Maybe he had a cold that night *shrugs*
As Chris gets older he reminds me even more of Brian Setzer
they are like Ac/dc crossed with green day, brilliant
Lombie needs to come out the front in line with Chris & Scott.
Pretty good.
Prefer the EP Medley at Festival Hall though
epic guitar jump..7.04
I was expecting West end riot somewhere in there.
Bring back of old merry
i am 12 years old and i love the living end and green day and can just say that they are not alike, like some people are saying, also what is the name of the first song, its on the tip of my tongue but for the sake of me i can't think of the name
Harry Millikan second solution
@LEFT4BASS is The Ending is Just the Begining Repeating
come back to the states
5:26 epic head nod
the Living End O. k.
nope he doesn't...he moved to NY due to the heat. he still has his house in st kilda but spends more time in NY
but thanks for the insult on the end...makes you look so good on you tube..
I LOVE THE LIVING END and was this for the 2011 grand final where Collingwood lost my favourite team?
heard they just finished a rap-rock record produced by fred durst of limp bizkit. they're calling it "slammin ass with the big dogs". it's gonna fuckin rule!
the ending is just the beginning repeating, its off the new album
they play the intro of it at 4:10 but no chorus or verse
It's not that his voice isn't good - I just don't think he can hear his own voice in the loud sections. It sounds great in white noise.
Nah man Chris Cheny can't sing but he's a gun guitar player / songwriter and most of their choruses the crowd will shout along with him so it works
I don’t no about best live act in Australia
For the longest time, I couldn't find these guys' videos. What happened?
Did Chris take up smoking or something? I've seen these guys live many times and he's always put on an amazing show and sung very well, this is just sad :-(
los angeles, america, actually.

dang, that newer cd of theirs is beyond terrible. the rest of their albums though? amazing
James Brawshaw is norma wrong but he got something right for a change
looks like a couple people clicked the thumbs down button on accident
What happened to Prisoner of Society?!
I wonder what everyone sitting on their asses thought of this...
@PuntoCeroOcho why do you say that?!!!
prefer the self titled one myself.
Not sure if srs....
Wow they sound really off here. Every time I've seen them live they've been much better. Also it's always sad to see a small, and sitting crowd hahaha
If you don't like it, don't watch it. Simple.
Ive seen a more excited crowd at a nursing home
All I can see green day fans on stage
@jsguerra4 Just hear him. His voice is getting hoarse, and sometimes he runs out of breath.
(Sorry if my english is ambiguous, I'm mexican)
Why? Why you don't south America?
Who is the 4th chap on second guitar?
Is it just me or does Chris sort of look like Nathan Fillion?
What was the one playing at 5:12?
brian setzer's son
if you want to post your crap on youtube you are subject to whatever criticism/compliments come your way. if you can't take it stop trying to be a rock star.
shit, i meant billy joe....your comment made me so mad I lost my mind for a min
what songs???
green day with a double bass? someone has never listened to their other stuff...look at chris's guitar playing for a start. and the double bass is in there from their roots. and they did make it in america. chris fucking lives over there...so shut it.
Whats the first song called?

redhotchilimarkus Karnivool are amazing!!!!!
The Living End are also in their own right amazing too!!
The living end and original silverchair
なぜに観客が盛り上がらん?

i miss the old living end...
In a few years, Chris will can't sing anymore =/
used to love this band.. roll on is heavy. chris's voice is not as good as it was though.. lost personality
LOLOLOLOL great britain invented rock and roll, another typical american thinking they did it all.
Not for me
