What's funny about pretending it wasn't his neurodivergence? It's a daily struggle for those who aren't neurotypical. I thought people who watch this would be more aware/acknowledging of that
@@aiku111 I have ASD. It's an entertainment show, not a serious documentary. Whether or not what he said was intentional, it was still objectively funny to me and the show runners obviously thought so too or they wouldn't have kept it in. Your condescension to people with autism isn't helpful and doesn't make you a good person.

The speed dating scenes with Connor were my favourite.
Connor is really nice. I felt so sorry for him when he went outside and had a panic attack and was sobbing.

@AmandaMerkel He doesn't know any better. Autistic people lack a social filter and speak their mind with full honesty in regards to what they think and feel. It wasn't until a producer pointed out to him that he should wait until the dates are gone that he can mark them. He expressed remorse afterwards bc he didn't know. A real asshole does know better, they just choose not to care.

This scene is my favorite. Very funny and yet so authentic. My 17 year old has high functioning autism and he loves the show so much.

I freaking love Connor! This was by far my favorite scene! He had me cracking up! But he's so cool! When he was walking in that grass on his date with Emily, he was not feeling his air force ones getting dirty...lol. He's also a cutie and can dress!

I loved that there is dating events tailored towards people on the spectrum. I enjoyed watching Connor and his family. I will say I think Connor would of benefitted from a few things. A dating coach like Jennifer who specializes in ASD. Also maybe going out on group outings with other people on spectrum where he can conversate and make friends organically, so he doesn't feel nervous or anxious.
The unintended, but delightful savagery of crossing people out real-time!

Conner has to be my favorite person from this show. He's so funny sometimes, but his genuineness is really beautiful.
I honestly thought it was TV trickery that he was crossing "NO" while they were still sitting there, until a producer asked him haha
To be fair, one of the girls put pen to paper literally just as she was sitting down with Connor so she might have done the exact same thing, but in a my sly way. This clip doesn't show it but I definitely picked up on it.
Everything about connor is great. My wife and i laughed so hard when he x out "no" right in front of her. He is such a good guy. We wanted to see great things happen for him during the show
I just found this show yesterday for first time. Sunday was my day off so I watched entire thing, I absolutely loved it. He was my fav person. He’s so cool just doesn’t know it 😎 I died when he checked her as NO! They were such a good match it was obv. Great reminder of what happens to all of us in dating.

The guys really work hard on making conversation, but many of these girls don't even try! I feel really sorry for the guys. Autistic or not, both parties need to initiate conversation!
That black girl was offended right off the bat when he pronounced her name wrong, and then just straight up had nothing to say or ask him. It was beyond awkward lol

I am so in love with this show! I’m so invested. I want to know how all of these beautiful souls are doing, and flourishing throughout life. I absolutely adore Tanner. I think he is the sweetest most precious man I have ever laid eyes on. I wish we could be friends. I wish him the best with his new friend. They are so adorable. I would love for my daughter to find a good man like Tanner. My heart goes out to Conner so much. I can relate to some of his anxieties in life. I am on the Spectrum as well. I am in awe at the African adventure with David and Abby. They are truly wonderful in every way. I hope they have many more happy memories together. I needed this show in my life. You have already helped me a great deal. I feel so excited to see what life brings for these incredible people. I wish all these precious men & women the very best in life. They do end up going on a couple of dates in later episodes and admits that he was “hasty” as he put it. You also have to understand that they’re both on the spectrum, not saying it justifies his behavior but you live and learn

Love Connor. I relate to him alot with the scene of him saying helicopter over and over when his mom was being a tad pushy. His mom needs to take a step or two back lol. And just let him be himself. When I was a kid I had a lot of trauma..and my mom and other "concerned" adults only made it so much worse. My mom dragging me to so many different Therapy places and the worst was "are you doing okay" like id tell you if I wasn't. You don't need to constantly remind me of said traumatic event that recently happened at the time..I know it's hard for some people but backing off and allowing the person to just be is sometimes the best way for them. Clearly it's individual but in my case and clearly Connors we just need a little space and if we need certain help we'll ask.
When I saw that I instantly saw my mom..she had good intentions but it was hard dealing with that when I already had alot going on.

Dang, speed dating as an autistic?? He's brave, I'd be wiped after just one person. Speed dating sounds so stressful, it's just icebreaker and small talk, ×10, over and over and over. All of the hardest parts of socializing, while trying to find a chemistry with a complete stranger... As an autistic person, my specific brain doesn't jam with that concept, but the fact that he was willing to try is so cool.
(Also his handwriting is so validating, I never see adults with handwriting that looks like mine)
