Hi Everybody,
It’s so great to be filming again, we feel blessed to be able to spend time as a family doing something we love.
For this weeks tutorial we’ve chosen a style that is fun yet elegant, great for school or just about anywhere else. We call it the Woven Fishtail Braid for the distinctive pattern up the middle of the ponytail.
When it’s been a long day (or an early morning) and the creative part of my brain is just fried, but we still have somewhere to be… This is one of my go to braids!

I cannot BELIEVE her hair is THREE FEET LONG 😲😲😲 it’s STUNNING!! My daughters hair is down to her waist 😩 it takes sooooo long to braid it every morning for school cuz I NEVER leave her hair down the ONE TIME I did she caught head lice 😭😭😭 it took me EIGHT HOURS to treat her hair she NEVER re-caught them THANK GOD 🙏🏻 I absolutely love love LOVED this braid it looked gorgeous on Gracie’s hair I cannot wait to try it on my daughter!! I wonder if you could pull this off as a FULL braid??? Like instead of starting with a ponytail like how could you start this on the top of the head???? I totally understand the reasoning behind why you don't let your daughter have her hair down. That happened to Graycie one time too and it was a nightmare!!!!
Anywho, to answer your question "I wonder if you could pull this off as a FULL braid"......yes it can be done😊
Also, keep a look out for the request you asked for awhile back on what we call the "criss cross pigtails with messy buns" tutorial😃. It was quite a challenge as Graycie's hair is ridiculously long.

Lol her hair being down isn't why she caught head lice. It comes from sharing hats, hair items like pony tail holders, brushes, headbands etc. She can get lice rather her hair is long, short, up, down, braided, or whatever. Her not catching it again is pure luck.
Karen Sawyer her NOT catching them again is due to her FABULOUS mother who takes the time every morning to keep her hair up and YES I’m well EDUCATED on how lice is caught hunny ok thanks...think about it if her looong hair is blowing around and she brushes against someone with lice or hugs a friend DONE that friend has a strand of hair on her shirt or jacket with a bug attached now she’s got em MAKE SENSE?????kind of strange that the ONLY TIME I left her hair down she caught lice OBVIOUSLY laying on the rug at school or hugging friends as I mentioned blah blah strange isn’t that?????? 🤔🤔🤔 WOW Lady Luck must REALLY LOVE her it’s been 4 years now so you’re RIGHT it’s alllll her being lucky ya... 🙄 couldn’t have ANYTHING to do with her MOTHER doing my research about lice and prevention and how to keep them deterred from her...... and btw I’m glad you found it humorous and had to write your two cents about a little girl’s hair and how you think you KNOW IT ALL.... don’t come at me like this again and don’t EVER speak about MY child UNDERSTAND???? @@jenniferkopenga4383 I do find it comical. I'm not saying you're not a good mother. I'm not saying that at all but even though yes she can get it as you stated putting her hair up in a braid isn't going to prevent it. All together otherwise thousands of children who have had their hair braided daily since their hair was long enough to do it would never get them and that's just not how it works. But good for you that she hasn't. It's a pain in the but having to clean especially when it's long. A lot also had to do with how well a school addresses the problem when it pops up. I love the way you teach! I watch your video's almost every day to do my daughters hair for school. My only problem with the hairstyles is my daughters hair is long (down to her bum) but it's thin and I always get flyaways by the time I'm done. How can I make my daughters hair look better in these styles?

To control fly aways it depends on your daughters hair. Is it straight, wavy, curly?
Being that Graycie's hair is straight, we use a spray gel.
Some don't like gel as they flake but we never had that problem with the spray gel.
You could use pomade as well.

We went and watched the tutorial and it's not clear on where she's adding strands or which ones to cross.
