Interstate Blues has been around for a long time now taking their sound a step higher on each album. The Hendrixian sound has definitely been there since but Jamie Purpura is also influenced not just by the blues masters but by some metal bands as well. This is the kind of rock sound I have been looking for and found it with Interstate blues. I love Jamie's nonstop solo guitar playing and muscular lead sounds. He's singing style is that from the 60s and 70s and having been around that era I can relate to it. Live on Jamie Purpura, live on!
Just discovered this band on Last.fm......I really like this type of hard rock/blues fusion.....good stuff.
