- I finally got the ocean band after wearing my Apple Watch Ultra on the Alpine Loop for months. Let’s check out the differences between the two. I’ll also share my reasons for picking one or the other now that I’ve used them for some time.

I have all three band types for the Ultra - Ocean, Alpine and Trail loop. My most used in the summer is the Ocean because of the quick dry out and feels good - the Trail loop is super comfy and thin and for out and about the Alpine is just a great looker, but maybe the least versatile
Does the White ocean band stay clean? Have you noticed any scuffing, staining or discoloration?

I second this question.
1. Too much bg noise in your video - distracting. 2. You don’t mention the cons
I have all three straps
1. Alpine loop which is comfortable and don’t leave mark on hand after removing it but removing it is bit hectic and if I remove it quickly than hook dash on display.
It also became wet after gym due to sweating and take bit time to dry.
2. Ocean band loop is great for rainy season, for water activities, for gym and for other activities but it leaves the mark on hand and also bit irritative.
And positive side is that it quickly get out of the hand.
3. Trail loop is great non irritative and don’t leave mark too on hand.
And easy to remove too.
But doesn’t feel much secure as it has velcro strap.
And also it takes time to dry if it became wet.

brucelin5842 Yes, absolutely. I have orange, yellow, and white. And each one of them never ceases to delight me. Together they cost like one metal bracelet, which looks more old-fashioned, heavier and less practical.
If they made an orange Ocean Band that would actually be cool

My apple watch came with an orange ocean band
I wanted an orange ocean band but they were out of stock. Decided to go for the blue one, I have loads of different bands that goes just as well.
I was super skeptical about the ocean band too, but it turns out I love it.

I will say that my ocean band wiggles a lot and has a lot of play when you wiggle the part that connects to the Watch. When it’s on your wrist it doesn’t move at all it’s solid, but if you don’t have it on and wiggle it it for sure wiggles a lot. Either way it doesn’t bother me as it’s super stable. I don’t know if what I’m experiencing is normal or not, but when it’s on it’s rock solid and doesn’t wiggle. Only if I’m you wiggle it while it’s not on your wrist.
Looks great. Did you used the water lock feature (to remove the water from speaker) after swim in the ocean, pool, or after every shower?
I was cooking a meal, and tidying up after and did not realise how much I splashed/wet my Apple Watch 7 band. I will definitely go for the rugged and practical look of the ocean band.
I occasionally use the Alpine Loop that came with my Apple Watch Ultra. More often, I use aftermarket Ocean Bands I picked up from Amazon. I have five of them that were far less expensive than one genuine Apple product. I feel like Apple’s straps are a ripoff.

I don’t think there a ripoff because first you get the titanium matching ends and the knockoff are not titanium and don’t have the matching ends and clasps, you quality, durability and sustainability with Apple Watch bands and that’s all I wear with my Ultra 2 titanium watch
My only concern is if the Ocean Band doesn't allow your skin to breathe.
Does anybody have any feedback regarding that?
Good question, @michaelkiese7794! The ocean band has relatively big tubular shapes which allows air in between the band and the arm for me. Thanks for watching and asking! Let me know which band you end up with.
Thanks for the detailed comparison. I have a question in terms of maintenance, now that you have used the white color ocean band, is it easy to clean if it gets dirty or get stains on it? Or the blue color band is going to be better for outdoor activities?
Good question, @travelclipsByAtef! It's quite easy to clean. Mine has stayed in good shape so far. Dirt may not be as obvious on the darker blue one. Thanks for watching and asking! Let me know which color you end up with and how you like it.

I just use my other bands from previous watches. Solo loops and braided loop bands are perfect for the Ultra. I use the leather link band for everyday use and have the ocean band for scuba diving and surfing. I seriously thought I would return the Ultra 2 but it fits better than my normal 45mm. I have 3 watches and I swap my watches more often than I swap bands.

@@Tech4Baba I have the v4 and v6. I wear them nearly 100% of the time, alternate between them when they are near 10% battery, so I never suffered from battery concerns. I’ve only had the Ultra 2 for over a week and already I prefer wearing it way more than the others. I even sleep with it, something I thought I would never do due to its size. Now my 44mm looks very feminine.
I thought my watches were going to be like children, love them all equally but I have committed the parental sin by favouring on way more than the others.
I will refurbish my v4 and hand it down to my daughter and keep the v6 as backup.

@@Tech4Baba I bought midnight ocean band version. IMO, Ocean band is the most suitable band because it's impossible to don't touch water everyday when you taking your watch. Also, midnight is looking well too because when the screen goes black, band and screen looking good together.

Good video. Wish there was a non sport band like the Nike plastic band with the holes for the regular Apple Watch for when you just want to wear it with a simple watch and don't need the sport straps to prevent it from falling off.

Nice comparison! I have both and they have their own good characteristics. I have a yellow Ocean Band and a classic orange Alpine Loop.

I hate it alpine! Can’t wear it when you work out and sweat or swim or if it’s raining, it absorbs sweat and stinks after a sweat, but If you don’t work out and are lazy than yeah go for alpine
working out doesnt make you less lazy. iknow plenty of bums that all they do is work out but have no jobs and stay home and do none after the gym.
