This song means so much to me! I was raised in a religious cult, I have never found a song that could resonate with the feeling of finding my freedom, thank you. The cult was like the grave, i was dead inside, one foot on the ground is the decision to escape. I literally left with nothing but my name, the sweat on my brow and the blood running through my veins, I left behind everyone I had ever known, left with nothing, i had paranoia they could hear me and read my mind, they used fear as a weapon to control me, they knew it all. And you're so right, it was never the devil knocking at my door, just my shadow on the floor ❤

I was also raised in a cult. It was really hard to adapt to everything outside of it. I'm still struggling with things. But I'm getting better. I left when I was 18, I'm in my 30s now. I don't think it's ever going to really go away. But I have people that actually care about me and are working with me to make it better. I found this song and I haven't really liked modern music for a long time. But this song hit me good.

Was winter and he didnt have much money.. the man described my father not even knowing his dead or how he looks.
He then buyed her a coat.

Also a priest told us that this dreams are with God grace not from the demons.

My grandson is 14 and just finished middle school. He is on the spectrum and started composing music at 12. His middle school concert band performed one of his pieces in their final concert. He is the first to ever accomplish that in his school. He plays the viola, the violin, and now the piano. Can you believe he was born in Texas too. Austin. I turned him on to your music recently in hopes to inspire him to keep going and to branch out into many directions with his music. Your music and lyrics really reach me to the soul and I it gives me hope that the young people of today can be influenenced in such a positive way. Thank You!!

I've been in a depression, last 2 days.. I was scrolling, hiding in bed, waiting for bedtime for my kids, when I'm allowed to cry after they fall asleep. anxiety consuming my mind making me feel pathetic. then I came across this song in a random short, and it just broke down my mindset, to get out of this dark place. the chorus is a slap in the face, the kind of slap that revives you. I am in a very dark place at the moment , I am 74years with multiple sclerosis who stays in bed, watching a lot on youtube, with what is going on in my country(england) and also other countries, and say to my husband I do not want to be here anymore.i am scared at what I seeing. then i linked on to a short and Livingstone came on, and I listened to this song and other livingstone songs, and it cheered me up. I know I cannot switch off to how I feel, but I can listen to songs to change my mood.,no one knows how I am because we all put on brave face in front of other people. He should be more popular then Taylor Swift,
It's only because he was recently discovered and within the same year of signing on with a major recording studio, he found a way to break the contract and work on writing, producing, recording and then releasing all of his own music the way he wants it to sound (full artist control). I applaud him for that, as my younger cousins band did something similar (death metal band awaiting the harbinger) and not only was a ton of unanticipated work they did on their own, but I remember it getting discouraging at times when they felt stuck or at a loss as far as creative direction and how to do it all went. But they did it and I believe all of that real, raw hard work they put into each of their albums has made the ending results and the fans they have acquired that much better/amazing to them - and I'm sure Livingston will feel a similar sense of accomplishment and awe, if he doesn't already.. So, as his first sort of "band of follower", it's up to ALL OF US to like and share and pass along the songs he so lovingly crafted for everyone to hear. Think of it as all of us being the hybrid love-chikd of a bunch of Groupies (mostly seen from the older bands of the past) that met and mated with a team of summertime digital marketing students interning for Livingston and his self made label - totally enamored with his sound and the amazing art he has already shared thus far, with all of the knowledge and ability to hit that little squiggly "share" button on each of the videos here on UA-cam, spreading them all over social media platforms and forcing random people's ear holes to listen to our personal favorites by loudly playing his music in the car with the windows down or by forgetting the other patrons on a crowded bus or plane as you pop in your earbuds/secure your headphones on your head and serenade them all as loudly and enthusiasticly as you possibly can......
