    Drinking water straight out a burn with not much of a worry at all, only in bonnie Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
    🌄😍 we are spoiled my friend. Coming from here, it’s a crime if you don’t love the great outdoors.

    Less than a minute in and I hit the like button. Showing the correct way to use a bow-saw, top marks that man, safety is always paramount, and it means more chords on the banjo can be played.
    Good job on the horse, especially the jute twine. :)

      Cheers Wade, I'm managing to sneak a few hours in at the minute to do bits and pieces. But i think the saw horse will come in handy for working with the bigger pieces of timber. But also easier for bucking up firewood. Thanks for stopping by mate, hope you and yours are well. Take care.

      Yup, it's a great pack, really comfortable to carry. The side pouches aren't the best though, I've modified mine with British Army side pouches attached with molle. Thanks for watching, take care.

    I like the look of the Wisport pack mate. Is that the Racoon pack you mentioned a while back?
    Thanks for taking the time Andy.... it is always great to catch up with you, all the best, Mark :)

      @Woodsman_wildcamper  5 років тому +1

      Cheers Mark, yeah I'm happy with how it turned out in the end. The pack is the Wisport Reindeer 55l, it's really comfortable with heavy loads, sits the weight perfectly on the hips. I'm really enjoying using it. Thanks for stopping by mate, take care.

    What would be the standard basic sizes (SAE & metric) for the scotch eyed augers and wood augers/drills? Are pilot holes necessary for woodwork?

  • @bobbyhill6462
    @bobbyhill6462 2 роки тому +1

    Where did you get your scotch eyed augers from?

    • @Woodsman_wildcamper
      @Woodsman_wildcamper  2 роки тому

      I bought the auger bits from a DIY store, then a friend welded on the steel tube to the shaft. If you can weld or know someone who does, it's a much cheaper option that the ones that get sold online. I've even bought a couple bits, dirt cheap on ebay and done the same thing 👍

    What diameter of auger is the best to do these kind of tools outside?

    • @Woodsman_wildcamper
      @Woodsman_wildcamper  4 роки тому +3

      It would really depend on what you were making which would determine the diameter of the hole you needed. In this video I used the largest auger bit i had to bore the holes for the legs on the saw horse. In all honesty it would probably better being bigger in diameter, but at this time the 26mm is the biggest one I own. I got them from my local hardware store, they were on sale, they were just standard auger bits that fit into a power drill. But a friend of mine welded the steel tube onto tops so i could use them as scotch augers. Hope this helps mate, take care.
