What I admire about Jim is his do or die attitude, still has it, just refining it a bit to meet the unique conditions of this race. Brilliant athlete. Killian, as we all know is from another world.
Interesting to see the re-cap after watching the build-up footage of Jim preparing for the race. Looks like he did really well training his cardiovascular system but didn't pack enough muscle on his lower body.

why the symphony orchestra at full volume on every track at UTMB??? they are running an ultra in some of the most beautiful mountains and the experience for the viewer is overwhelmed by this Vangelis-like constant barrage of noise!!!
No... It's THE winners recap. Do not forget we are all equal now. That is what was demanded.. and now has been afforded. Cannot pick and chose what parts of equality you demand - despite how much you would like that.

I am simultaneously enthralled by this race, I visited Chamonix as a young man, while having no desire to try it. Incredible efforts by all 4.
