Thanks for this video my doctor put it on incorrectly and crisscrossed it and didn’t know how to put it on properly and made it so it was irritating my neck and this helped a lot
Thank you very much for viewing and your question. If approved by your provider- yes this would be appropriate for your injury, or a sling as well. Speedy Recovery to You, sincerely woodie 🙂👍🏼
Anna P- Thank you very much for the question. If the provider & the patient have decided not to surgically repair the fracture, then the 2 most common forms of treatment are the Figure 8 strap or a sling. The patient is usually allowed to alternate between both of these, if wearing the Figure 8 strap becomes uncomfortable with daily use. The prescribed length of time of use depends on; Provider, Fracture Type & Time needed to develop new bone formation. Anna P, thank you very much for viewing and for your support, sincerely woodie 🙂👍🏼
Lance, thank you very much for the Great Question... Truth be told, this strap is a bit challenging to put on solo, with a fractured clavicle- but not impossible. 1. First make sure the straps are locked in a length that'll be snug for your shoulders. 2. Then place the injured side in 1st, then the good side 2nd since it's more flexible. 3. Then when removing, do the opposite- good side comes out 1st, then injured side 2nd. 4. Having to adjust the tension every few days or week as they get loose from material stretch & a little extra movement having to do it solo. ...I really hope this helps & wish you a speedy recovery, sincerely woodie 👍🏼

@@ChristopherPonayo ...thank you very much for viewing and for the question as well. The clavicle strap offers a good amount of support to the fractured area, while also stabilizing the movement.
