- I went to a spot in Virginia hoping to see a Short-eared Owl, I was not lucky!
But I ended seeing the biggest flock of wild turkeys instead! Over 35!
Gear used: Nikon Z6 II and NIKKOR 500mm f5.6 PF. Thanks for stopping by! - Розваги

Thanks so much!
Waw, it's the first time I see turkeys flying as much as this . Great 👍👍👍
I too was thrilled to see this! Thanks
Most impressive when they glide.
Dinner is Served!!!!
❤❤❤🤝
They were like WW2 bombers needed a good run prior to take off
So much for the myth that turkeys can't fly. What's next? Emus or penguins?
Pigs?
Very impressive. Thank you for the variety of great views.
Thank you.
Where’s Les Nessman?
I know they can fly as I had one connect with my windshield while driving a blue highway in Missouri. They came out of the woods next to the highway and I braked as best I could while hauling a travel trailer and almost missed them. It looked liked a bowling ball was dropped on my window. It cost almost $700 to replace the windshield. Fortunately I had replacement insurance.
Nobody, show this footage to Arthur Carlson. 🤣
Way cool! They are sitting ducks, though.
I agree. Thanks a lot.
Love it
Thanks
Domestic, aka store bought commercially bred turkeys, are generally unable to fly. Genetic manipulation by humans made them too heavy/awkward to fly. All that extra weight on the breast makes them aerodynamically bound to the ground. Or so my turkey raising relative tells me. Makes sense. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Thanks for your input.
Slow motion is overused in wildlife video. Wish the original was also included to show people how fast turkeys actually fly.
As a wildlife photographer, I don’t use a tripod. Thus, I have seconds to act. This scene lasted for about 30 seconds. My camera video setting is always in slow motion mode. Thanks.
maşallah
Seen fish fly further 😂
Lol! Thanks
Any serious outdoorsman knows that wild turkeys can fly. How else would they reach their roosts in tall pines that hano lower branches? I've seen them fly straight up to get over 70-80ft oaks, then gain altitude, fly a few hundred yards, then glide across the hollow to the next mountain!!! They are not farm raised birds.
As God is my witness...
Great video - More please ... 🦘
Thank you so much my friend.
