These are very common also in the Caribbean but you have to clean them you have to take that black section out that is the waste
Cook more beach food for us!
We used to call these clams, "Chipes," in Añasco, Puerto Rico. Sadly, because of human pollution, they can't be found anymore.
Why do us humans have to have such bad effects on so much!!!
I got a cup full yesterday just from picking them up with my fingers….yall can’t get them from other countries?
@@MaKayla-nr4qt - In Añasco, PR?
@@EfrainRiveraJunior no I’ve been getting them off an island in the US. Do they not ship them to Puerto Rico?? You’d think they send a lot over to reproduce, I’ve found some pretty big Coquina Clams
Can you explain in more detail how you remove the shell?
Swirl the boiling water and the meat pops right out and you just skim up the meet as it floats around
Are there pieces of the shell broken off along with the meat?
No. As you stir the water the meat separates from the shells
@@h20bymotorcycle Is this method only suitable for eating at the same time, or can you freeze it to eat another day?
@@opunhoqueve210 not sure actually,
