Nice bike! Choke lever is actually just a high idle- these are fuel injected!
C'est la meilleure routière que j'ai eu
Welcome
My father owns a 1998 bike, the odometer is 3000 km, and he has not driven or operated it for 20 years due to illness.
What do you advise me to work without problems, thank you
There could be a lot of seals and rubber hoses dried out, as well as cracked tyres, fuel system clogged with old fuel etc. I would take it to a professional motorcycle mechanic and have them look at it and repair/service it fully.
I am male, 1,90 meter is this bike big enough for my knees or schould i look for a bigger bike?
I'm 1.93m and its fine for me. Great ride and the glass helps alot against the wind
I’m 2m and my R11RT is a good fit for me. The adjustable seat really helps-you can fit a peg lowering kit too, although I haven’t needed to.
Hello, just purchased a 1996 BMW R1100RT I put new battery but no crank... any info you may share with me please... Thanks
Sorry I can’t help. I would recommend going on a BMW bike Facebook group
Whats that silver lever on the back left by passenger footpeg
It’s a handle to assist with putting the bike up onto the centre stand. They’re a big old ship, light on their feet whilst rolling but very heavy when stationary! Grab the handle with one hand and LH grip with the other, lower stand with your left foot and then lug like hell…up she comes…sometimes 🤣
@@Theorangeman. it’s a fold away grab handle to pull the bike back when you put it up on the center stand that’s what that aluminum handle is for. It’s on a spring and it folds down.
It's got the looks of Admiral Akbar...
Sounds like an e60 starting up
Good Record s & I’ll bet she’s Cherry.
Coolant temp????? Are you sure ..You are not supposed to leave that run with the choke on as soon as that bike starts up turn the choke off no really turn the choke off as soon as the bike wild by itself geez man holy crap
If you turn off the choke immediately, the bike will cut out, and it will also stall when coming to a stop. Until it’s warmed up and idling well with no choke, the choke needs to stay on. Fairly obvious.
So obviously you don’t know what the choke is for 😅😅😅 it’s for cold starts 😅
Abs is showing fault
If you listen to what I say in the video that’s how they are. They flash until you ride above 10 mph. A KTM I had did the same.
you are right, 2 lights flash alternately - abs self-test fails
they should flash together
This is the tipicall fault in BMW mk2 Abs units due to the undervoltage at starting time with a weak battery.
Low 12v battery. Usually after sitting mine does this, and after a long drive it resets after turning the bike on and off again.
I've got the exact same 1998. Great bike!
