I have hardware and software synthesizers more expensive and glamorous than the nts-1, but I find myself playing around with this little thing the most because of generous people like you who expand its abilities in amazing ways 😊
The step sequencing functionality is very impressive, and something i haven't seen anyone else do on the NTS-1. "Chaos" implementation with retriggering on the last key is thoughtful as well. Fantastic work!
Thanks! It's quite a challenge to imagine the best usability for such complex concepts in a device with only 2 knobs. This oscillator was particularly demanding. In the end you need a manual to learn it, which is not the best situation, but it's what's possible. At least with chaos you can easily explore different mad sounds... 😁
You are a legend sir! Came close to buying the Rumble a couple of times but didn't really have space for it on my rack. Now you have made this I don't have to 🙂
Hi. I download to try, I think its working diferent in my unit. it was not like the workflow of this tutorial. I dont know what i was doing but the kaos is fun too
There's another tutorial video, with more detailed explanations, maybe it can help. Also make sure you use this oscillator first after turning on the nts, without changing anything before. Let me know if it helps.
Amazing oscillator! Thanks for the hard work! I'm sad though that Korg still hasn't released a firmware update to enable control of user oscillator parameters and values through MIDI. Don't know if this will ever happen : (
@@ayalavalva I'm not sure. But I'm interested in the custom hardware panels that can be built. They allow direct access to all the parameters, so I've seen. But hardware is a whole didn't thing 🙂
That would be so cool. Does anyone know where I can find more info about those custom hardware panels? By the way, many thanks Tweak for yet another awesome piece of work and all the value you add to this little machine.
@@sonicforest521 Just received NTS1 mk2, but haven't built it yet. 🙂 I'm planning on porting my OSCs to mk2 but don't know when. I'll announce here in the channel.
This is fantastic! Is it possible to make something similar to this oscillator but in form of an effect? I'm using the korg nts1 with an electric guitar. Any recommendations?
Unfortunately the sound generation is attached to the OSC architecture. It wouldn't work as an effect. What exactly were you thinking? Playing the melody on the guitar and output it as a synth sound? Something like a Boss SY 1?
@@tweeeeeak228 Yees! Something like that, i like glitch effects into the guitar, but i didn't find yet a glitch effect that does like fm synthesis, i don't know if that is possible in programming. I think there is a pedal called WMD Geiger counter that does sound a little bit similar, is very far from the being the same thing that the ROAT, but it's great anyways :)
Depends on the input jack on the laptop, if you don't have a separate headphone jack you'll need to hear what you're recording through the laptop speakers, which is not very nice,I guess

ROAT is my favorite piece...was... NTS-1 is way too versatile! Thank you!

With every new OSC we get an entire new machine!! Thank you so much for your great innovations for this small but powerful platform.

Amazing work, as always.Thank you for all the incredible oscillators you build ❤️🙏
This looks incredible! Thank you for all of the time it took you to develop this
Indeed, this one took quite some time...
@@tweeeeeak228 We appriciate it❤
Wow this looks perfect for some experimental noise music, thanks so much 😁👌
This is awesome. Great job! Thank you 🤟
Thank you for developing a wonderful new oscillator. This work is also a novel idea. I install it now and enjoy.
Oh yes!! I love the SOMA ROAT! Genious work again! 😯
Just fantastic work, so much scope for experimentation.
You are the best, bro!
Holy shhhhhhhhhh...!!! Thank you so much! Really impressive!
NTS-1 keyboard has finally found an appropriate use 😁
Indeed!
The thing is quite unstable
Amazing! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Wow! This is simply amazing! Thanks for sharing this!!!
Very nice kit!
Formidable. Thank you 🙏
Very NIce!
You are great, thanks for that 🎼👌
Thankyou

This is my favourite osc.
Could you make this available for NTS1 MK2. Please Please~

The patches on this sound like tangerine dream telling me to save my money to buy a better synthesizer.
😁
Who is Kakos Nonos?
Can I record it jack to jack to my Laptop or I need 100% an audio interface?
