Yes you can carry laptop back pack without laptop but it’s should not be heavier than a laptop bag should be …as per my experience what that air India person told me …but I never had this type of experience with other air lines …Hope it helps you

Can you please tell me do they have charging points inside the air craft? because i have heard they dont have any.
to keep my lil one entertained I just want to be prepared before hand with power bank and stuff.

Thank you so much. Frankly I didn’t even try to find charging point in the air India aircraft …just switched off my mobile but my suggestion would be. Better to get fully charged at the airport itself and by any chance if there will be charging point u might need usb connector if u have apple phone charging wire . …just be prepared for everything …Hope u enjoy ur travel ..have a safe journey …

Guess what they are not refunding ...every time we call Air India they keep us on hold for more than an hour... Air India is the worst flight ever ....I am sorry for what you had to face ....

Think twice before cribbing about the Indian national carrier. Situation was bad with all airlines during Covid. Atleast you are assured of genuine vegetarian food unlike other carriers. I have experienced with other carriers where even after choosing Asian Vegetarian meal , I did not get it throughout my flight. The other things you are complaining about are due to Covid restrictions.
