The film the interviewer is talking about, the one that has David Yow in it, is called "Walls in the City". The soundtrack is done by The Denison/Kimball Trio (which actually only consists of tJL's guitarist Duane Denison and Jim kimball). Kimball became tJL's drummer two years after this interview. wait! where I'm I headed? I just want to recommend the film.
Yow & Mac should reunite with ScratchAcid! but i'd go see the Jesus Lizard again, anyday! Fucking class A band----hows about a tour with Killing Joke boyz... that'd be a fantasy concert come true!
I saw killing joke and they were not entertaining, talented, in fact they were awful. I think other bands respect them because they have been touring non-stop for like 50 years. Otherwise i dont get it. Singer is an asshole as well.
Meh. I love the jesus lizard, but as much as I don't care for the interviewer, I see the Daves as being the dicky ones. I laugh at, particularly Yow's joking manner, but it seems obvious their trying to make it as difficult as possible for the guy. Anyone wanna back me up?
I agree, the interviewer wasn't all that unknowledgeable and douchey, and he was somewhat prepared in comparison to most rock/music interviewers, especially for someone representing MTV. Seems like the Daves may have had a preconceived notion that this was just going to be the norm and this guy's gonna be some idiot with absolutely no idea or knowledge of who or what the Jesus Lizard or their music was about.
"hey duane, fix me up a belgian waffle"
