Mostly consists of men in androgenous outfits, with make-up and stylized hairstyles while playing rock or metal music. Historical context, Visual Kei was very popular in the 90s and many famous Jrock bands derived from this scene such as L'Arc En Ciel, X Japan, Malice Mizer, etc. Though nowadays it is mostly an underground niche out of the eyes of the mainstream but still maintains some popularity with many bands still filling up stadiums and venues such as the Gazette, Sid, X Japan, Janne Da Arc, etc.
