Good morning Iwan, Pumpkin and Mittens. We don't have Poundland here in Spain, but I really enjoy your trips to these kind of shops. I bought most of my autumn decorations, mostly pumpkins, at a German chain shop, Tedi and another one, Action, not sure where it's from. They are now beginning to sprout around here, although there are none quite close to where I live. (My pocket thinks it's a blessing 😂). This year I will probably not buy anything new for autumn decor, I'm beginning to have too many things😅. Here in Spain it isn't very usual to decorate for every season, but I've been doing it for some years though, because I love to get the vibe of the season all around my home. After watching this video I'll be going downstairs to the storage room in my parking space and bring up the two boxes I have with autumn and Halloween decorations and start to put some pumpkins around the house, although it still doesn't feel to autumnal with all the sun, even though the temperatures have been dropping a bit. Actually 17⁰ C although we are expecting up to 27⁰C this afternoon. You just came back from Mallorca, so you know the lovely weather we are having around the Mediterranean area. The word 'fall' for this time of year was traditional in England until the 17th century. The people who left for America in the 1600s kept the word, but in England it was steadily replaced with 'autumn'.
I never use the word "Fall", I prefer "Autumn", as words go, I think it's a lovely gentle word. Having said that I think we've skipped Autumn and gone straight to Winter, lol. 😂
