I paid about 79k for about 15/20kg extra. I’ve forgotten the exact weight. Each airline has their tariff for it. You can pay for it online if you are sure of the weight of your luggage or pay at the airport. The airline staff will put you through on it.

Thanks ma’am. You can have a hand luggage of 8kg, backpack of 5kg. I don’t think any other bag is allowed.

What was the weight of your hand luggage for Ethiopian airline and did they check your hand luggage at Addis ababa airport
It was 7/8kg. Yes hand luggage was checked to be sure we weren’t carrying illegal items.

Congratulations. Please I just booked my flight to the UK via Ethiopia airline, please do I need a covid certificate and a yellow fever certificate?? Additionally do I have to pay for hotel during the layover??
Thank you. I wasn’t asked for any covid certificate. As for the yellow fever, I wasn’t asked too but I had it with me. The layover was just for 3-4hours thereabout. You will be busy at the airport with checks and all so I don’t think hotel booking is necessary. Have a safe trip.

Not extra luggage per say. My bag weighed more than the allocated weight so I paid for the extra weight

Thank you and thanks for watching. You are entitled to two 23kg luggages one 8kg hand luggage and backpack that shouldn’t weigh more than 5kg. I paid about 79k for about 15/20kg extra weight. I can’t remember the exact weight it was. I hope this helps.
