Basically, you finish the game, it crashes, you start it up, it’s a new game, with new characters, new story, and new gameplay style. So, at first, it could be a heart-wrenching RPG, then an upbeat platformer, ect. This will happen five ish times, before the game crashes for a final time, and when you open it back up, you are your original character. It would be a boss rush against all your past selves, using all of their attacks, and they’d have the items and stats you last left them with, so if you have 50 HP and 10 ATK on one, it’ll come back with 50 HP and 10 attack. Also, if you want to make it a challenge, in the “Extras” menu, there’s Boss Rush! mode, and a setting where you can make it so that the playable character has nothing at all and starts with base stats and base items, and the enemies have the best weapons you can get and maxed stats, called “Hell Mode”

The idea of sonic facing previous canon and fanmade versions of himself is a thing that can be done right and this song those such a good job and has that right touch of pitch in tone that makes it work

Which is an Archie Sonic concept. Side note, the Archie canon has had crossovers with Sonic Underground and Sonic X during parts of the canon where the Cosmic Interstate was extra prominent.

Allow me. So the first one, metal sonic. Assuming this is the metal sonic from the popular sonic CD theory is a version of sonic who was roboticized from his future. I haven't read much on the theory but it goes in detail and it's pretty close to a canon explanation for metal sonic in the actual games. The second one, Scourge. Is from the archie sonic comics and basically comes from an alternate universe where sonic is the villain and eggman is the hero. Eventually due to chaos energy he turns green and becomes scourge instead of "evil sonic." The third one, Fleetway. (One I know more about for once.) is from the fleetway comics, this version of sonic isn't evil unless they're within their super form. Basically the fleetways version of the super form is evil. Fleetway also commonly appears when sonic is extremely stressed and pressured. The final one, Sonic.exe. Actually has no official relevance and is purely fanon, based on an age old creepy pasta of a hacked sonic game where this sonic has supposedly jumped out of the game and killed someone, as far as I've heard. But basically this version of sonic would actually murder and kill people. Tormenting the souls trapped within the game. In some versions of the creepy pasta, the souls trapped within the game characters are infact the souls of actual people who have touched the rom hack recently.
So what's the reason for this take on him looking the way he does? Also if this is meant to take place in the Archie multiverse why is sonic from the fleetway comic here besides being an evil sonic
The Cosmic Interstate basically connects the entire Sonic multiverse, which has led to the Archie version of Sonic having crossovers with Sonic Underground and Sonic X. Which means Archie Sonic can find any other canonical iteration of Sonic with enough searching and vice versa if said other Sonics ever felt assed to find the Cosmic Interstate themselves.
