Having a broken heart is never easy. You never know when the emotions will hit. It's unpredictable. But it gets better. You learn coping skills as you go, the emotions back off, more time passes and new good memories are made. You're going to get through this girl. I promise you. It really sucks right now, but you're going to come out stronger and better than ever!! So proud of you and how you're growing and handling yourself right now. I have never felt so sad for someone I didn't know in real life until these last few videos. I put myself in your shoes, and I was like, "how does one move on and get through this?" and my heart was really heavy! But you're doing it, man. Time with family, thrifting and antiquing, excitement about decorating your new place and living in your new neighborhood, dog cuddles, therapy, slapping on some makeup and washing your hair...you're hitting all the right notes.

I went through a very terrible divorce when I was in my early 20’s it also wasn’t my choice. The divorce was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through, but as I look at it now, happily married for almost 30 years, I wouldn’t give up that experience, I learned a lot, grew up a lot and most importantly I have so much empathy and understanding for friends and family members and even strangers who are going through a hard time. I firmly believe “ time heals all wounds”❤️

From one Texan to another...welcome home! Just wanted to give you a word of encouragement... Allow yourself to grieve and mourn. You need to experience the emotions and then move through them. But remember this...EVERY day is a new day...a clean slate...a day filled with hope and expectation. It is okay to be happy and joyfilled. One day at a time!!
It's hard to move on without the one you love especially when you don't want to move on, you don't want to do better without them, you don't want to experience life and joy and success without them, it's a torn feeling, but God is with you, I am continuing to pray for you 🙏
Michel, just wanted to say I'm so proud of you for doing the work of caring for yourself. Doing therapy, making the move, looking for cheer, feeling your feelings, recognizing grief. Sending hugs and prayers for beautiful things coming from all of the efforts 💕
Two things:
1) would highly recommend listening to the poem by Sarah Kay called “when love arrives” it’s a UA-cam video.
2) my therapist had me read New York times’ “why you won’t marry the right person” but when me and my partner ended our relationship and when I finally healed and began exploring new partners. I found it helpful :)

It's normal. For me, I married as a teenager, widowed in my 40s. I still can't process I'm not a wife anymore. I still feel like a wife and was his wife my entire adult life. Marriage is lifelong work, working to fall in love with the same person over and over. When someone won't do that for even 5 years, sadly not who you can count on for life, have children count on, etc. and all deserve someone who will be that foundation unwavering without fail...and when that's not there, you show up for yourself without fail, building your own foundation.
I'm excited to watch you decorate your new space & walk your new path in life! It's good to see you staying positive! Also your mom is beautiful! Spending time with my mom is food for my soul. It's good you have her love & support during a difficult time.
Can I really just take a moment to tell you how proud I am of you! Your heart may remain heavy and you may continue to have bouts of sadness and continued highs and lows but you’re really moving forward so graciously. You should be so proud of you. But I’m also incredibly proud and wanted you to know you’re not alone!

Take one day at a time, some days will still be hard healing just takes time and you can look back and be proud of how you handled everything. Some days it will still hit you, different triggers but you do whatever works for you and keep your mind busy and talk to God, he’s the best therapist along with family and friends supporting you and loving you makes each step a little lighter. We all love you Michel, You got this! 🌹We love seeing you happy, whatever it is you’re doing, buying sharing you light up and enjoy time for YOU. Enjoy decorating doing things the way you love. Anyways, take care of yourself!xoxo 😘
We are all here for you! This is such a tough situation..I can’t relate but a piece of advice that has helped me was along the lines of you’ll never have to live this day again. No matter how bad it was, you’ll never have to do it again.
Also, a tip I learned when naming arrangements is to use floral wire or just any wire to help the flowers that droop!
Another side note..I love how excited and passionate you are about the items you buy!
Through all the sadness and grief that you're going thru I just wanted to say how lucky you are to have those two special souls called parents by your side! I wish you so much love and light and future happiness❤️
You should consider trying bullet journaling. It's a good combination of life organizing and thought organizing. I speak from experience it can help you keep moving and processing when trauma gets overwhelming. You've got this.

Michel, I loved this vlog. Although I still see the grief you are experiencing, it was also good to see the excitement in your eyes for setting up your new apartment. And seeing a genuine smile on your face is always beautiful! You have your whole life ahead of you and you will do great things! So very glad you are keeping Max. Pets can be a great comfort in times of stress. Looking forward to seeing the new place!
Yay for good days! Grief is a funny thing and it’s so normal to feel guilty for being happy when you think you shouldn’t be. With time those happy moments will begin to outnumber the rough ones. BTW your mom is the absolute sweetest and she reminds me so much of my mom that it makes me happy every time she pops in the vlogs!

What a fun trip with your mom! I love those gf biscuits and I never thought of making them into dumplings. Growing up chicken and dumplings was one of my favorite meals my mom would make me.
