I'm just scanning around, looking for a chair for if, as and when I can get another motorcycle and go touring again. As someone mentions below, something like this is ideal for camping where size and weight are maybe not as important as for backpacking. They're still relevant for bike camping though, so thanks for mentioning the packed size which I've been unable to track down elsewhere. We used to take a couple of the small folding stools which sat nicely on the rack along with tent + extension, airbed and sleeping bags. That was getting on for 40 years ago though, so I prefer a little more comfort now!
Hi, I have used the chair on a couple of wild camps now but not every one. Its a good chair and i find it comfortable. Glad you liked my review and thanks for watching. 👍
What a great idea reviewing it in a bothy!!! Would of been canny if you showed us a little bit if the bothy Thank you for taking your time to do these videos and reviews 😊
@@northumberlandmountainhoppercheers seen the oex & alpkit in the flesh both very small & light but as you say you can't sit back & relax. also the option of the thermarest chair kit🤔
Hows the chair held up? Im hovering around 95kg and ive had them cheap £10 chairs fail on my in the past. Im torn between this chair and a cascade mountain tech ultralight which has a higher back and weighs slightly more.
I've got a similar chair but it weighs almost as much as my tent so it's always been a luxury too far for me when I'm walking any sort of distance, but maybe I'm just lazy. Chose a great place to review it!
Hi Mark, I thought for £30 its worth it as to be honest not sure how often I will use it as well. Couldn't justify the price of the Helinox chair for that reason. Thanks for watching 👍
They need the anti sink matt because if they sank any lower you might aswell sit on the floor ... not ultra light and take up nearly as much space in my pack as a hammock .... are you soonsored by oex 😁
It's a luxury I may use on some camps, depending on the distance etc. For thirty pounds I am sure I will get enough use out of it to warrant the money even if I use it as a picnic chair. 🙂. Thanks for watching.

Looking forward to seeing how much use you get out of it for the extra weight.
Hi, yeah I'm interested to see how much use I get out of it too, as the weight has to warrant the use. Thanks for watching. 👍
Stuff like this is ideal for "car camping" IMO, where it isn't quite as important that everything's super-small and super-light.
Hi yeah, not ideal for every wildcamp but the odd one with company might be useful. Thanks for watching 👍

Hi, I have another video about the Bothy, you should watch it. 🙂
@@thebackingpackinggeordie I already have 😊
well worth having for them long summer night's on the hill. ive got my eye on the tiny alpkit folding stool👍
Yeah, that's what I though a summer's night or a camp with others, sit out and have a chat. Cheers for watching mate.
I have the stool just got it, small it is but good enough to cook off, not recommended for a relaxing sit mind
Cheers

So far so good, used it a handful of times and still as good as new.
@thebackingpackinggeordie cheers for the reply mate. They've just gone on sale so be rude not to pick one up.

I know what you mean about the weight, not sure how much use it will get, but you never know. Thanks for watching mate. 👍
I have a helinox one and never use it tbh, this might be better seems slightly bigger
