I was thinking about making a build video for TU2. I will probably make no augment builds and add a priority list of skills that you want from your augments. Any suggestions for a talisman that I should use? I was thinking about AB2/CE2/WEX2 + 2 slot charm, so basically 3 skills. if that's not something people have (I for example have AB3 2-1 slot and CE3 1-1-1 after like 1k hours) I might use a 3-2-1 slot talisman. what do you think?
@@qwdwf4630 yes I think the mizu pieces are really efficient. If I wouldn't run dereliction I would use the legs as well. They are really good for lance The extra guard from embolden allows you to guard pretty much all attacks with guard dash. and that's why I love it
why did you use Leaping Thrust spam sometimes, then Leaping Thrust and 2 High Thrusts other times? Is it because of Espinas' changing elemental hitzones?
ok so LT + 2HT is slightly more dps but it also has some downsides. First it consumes more sharpness and second it moves you slightly forward so sometimes you can like clip trough the head and end up on the other side. Then it's also a lot easier to adjust your angle/positioning with just LT. At 0:24 doing double LT is the most damage you can do and still be able to counter the roar. Also since it's not a weakspot means I'm more likely to lose a lot of sharpness with a different combo because I use Master's touch. On para I can use LT + 2HT since the chest is stopping me from going forwards. 1:12 now the trap is pretty complicated XD. So doing LT + 2HT is not so good since I clipped trough the head several times or I just hit the wings with the HTs. But by just doing LT you gonna miss because he's in the air when he gets out of the trap. so doing one LT + 2HT and then LT only always makes it so you backhop when he's in the air. so it's also a timing thing here 1:32 on this topple I always do 3 LT + HT followed by one LT so I have enough time to slam him in to the wall 1:58 when he's on the floor it's easy to LT + HT against the chest
@@J9_MH mh speedrunners are something else, I was not expecting this fight to be so precisely planned out. I assumed that speedrunners just got good and threw themselves at monsters until they got a good time. You guys are completely scripting these fights? How do you figure out exactly what the best way to do each fight is? Just trying new things and iterating until success? Or do you guys get together, work out the numbers and race to see who applies the theory first? I thought this was just very good gameplay, now I'm watching maths brutalise a dragon. Thank you for responding with such a detailed comment.
@@beep_the_foolish nah not everyone is like this. I just like to script my fights if it's possible. depends on what weapon you play as well. Long sword for example relies a lot on counters so they usually script less well the first thing I do is throw myself at the new monster, try to learn it's moves and the flow of the fight. and then I try to make a script depending on what options I have available. sometimes random stuff off script is gonna happen and you realize that it has potential to save time so you test it a bit more until you get the ultimate script that works for you. So yeah the whole process is iterative. took me like 2-3 days to get my original script from 3 mins to 2:30. I think theory only exists for optimal damage rotations and sets. but just because it is scripted doesn't mean it's easy to get. I had to reset a lot because of bad para timings, no good attack for adrenaline, not close enough to the wall when the mount happened, lost sharpness to fast because of crit and master's touch rng and a lot of other reasons
@@J9_MH that's fascinating, and congrats on the world record! I didn't realise you were the one, I feel a bit honoured now lol. Where is the theory? Love the incredible precision in the run!
Now this is a true speed runner. Great work and great skill, keep it up.
That time 😧
Dear God man you are monster!!! well done bro!!
thank you zen!
satisfying run
カッコいい!!
I personally want to see lance normal augments more to know what skill/armor should I prioritize and when to satisfy with my builds 😂 Great run ❤

I love that idea, a 3 skills is okay I think. I luckily have my first 4 skills charm after 250 hrs and still use it untill now
I like how you use embolden for agi and hellfire and no diversion too. So embol agi combo is efficient afterall?

use Onmyo boots, it can have either WEX3 or Offensive Guard 3 (played on Switch and got this), for Dereliction use Archfiend hand
this is insane janni !!!! nice run 🤩.
thank you ritsu!
Damn bro! Niceee run!
thank you alu!
Am I loud to say this that is a TRUE MONSTER HUNTER GOD, like that or something else I need to say?
Love the fact your item set is called "lance gaming"
I'd prefer max possible augments. great run as always Janni!
