You’ve been giving out that great advice all year about bringing a Luer out to you you have No confidence in and just fishing that that advice got me my new PB smallmouth on a drop shot thank you for the great video and thank you for the great advice
I use to use only the cranks that went 5 ft. Now I use Rapala DT 6. The fish are little bigger deeper. The Wiggle is different. Also the Storm Arashi in Parrot color works too. Shawn.

You're still doing better than I am this year, Debo! I've only managed to catch 1 rock bass so far this season in about 6 trips! I absolutely hate fishing from the bank on the lakes in my area! Too much fishing pressure and way too many cormorants!

Can’t wait to see the updates on your aluminum kayak. Nothing wrong with catching a lot of dinks. My ABU Revo STX definitely benefited from a bearing upgrade. Got the ceramic ones from your livestream! Instant less effort and easier casting! Still waiting for that frog bite outing!!!
Want to try cranking but I’m waiting until I get a moderate action rod added to my arsenal, but to your point about trying to get better at something new, I tied on a chatterbait for the first time a couple weeks ago and on an 8 day fishing trip I made a point to stick with it and not switch. Again, I think it’d be helpful to have a more moderate action rod instead of just using mono, but by the end of the trip I felt like I could set it down when the fish didn’t want it instead of setting it down when I didn’t want to throw it. Definitely have a ways to go still, but I felt good about it. As always, thanks for the content!

where i live 8-12ft is the best for cranking any deeper than that and a jig or texas rig is the way to go it seems, you can catch them shallower or deeper on crankbaits but not as frequently. one of my favorite cranks is the ima pinjack 200

I haven't caught many on cranks this year but they have been small. topwater on the other hand has produced some big bass. I do like the "evasive" action of the seeker series, I had one roll over a stick trail and over the head, nice action and very castable.
