- On a beautiful spring weekend in 2019 Dude RV and crew head east into the East Texas Piney woods and pay a visit to the beautiful Daingerfield State Park.
A short 2 hour drive east of Dallas nestled into the gorgeous tall pine trees od east Texas is a beautiful Texas State Park that was built by the CCC in the New Deal Era.
Daingerfield State Park is a prefect place to take the kids and spend some quality tie together as a family.
In this video I touch on the highlist of this great little park.

If you ever in the Tyler area and want a decent place to stay the boulders on lake Tyler is pretty nice sites right on the water nice shower facilities and a covered fishing pier that you may be able to get your scooter out to. May have to park it close and walk a few feet but not to far
Oh and Tyler state park is pretty decent dont remember about rv accommodations though may be worth looking into
Yes sir! Tyler is a nice park! very crowded in the summer season but not so bad in the winter, I see that you found my video on that! thanks so much for watching and subbing!
@@DudeRV Haha yes sir right after I made this comment
Hello Bob, thanks for tour. We have a week reservation there this June in the Big Pine area which are all Pull-Throughs and full hookups. We've scouted it out a couple of times and finally camping there. We're going to be at site# 8.

We are new to the RV experience just purchased our first it is a 36 ft Class A - what has been you favorite state park in Texas so far for a long weekend trip, we live In Highland Village, just north of Dallas - this is the first video of yours that I have seen, I do plan to go back and watch a few more - but was just wondering what is your favorite park so far
Howdy Robin! that is a tough one! there are so many great Texas State Parks! I cant give you just one, so I will give you five.
1 Caprock Canyons
2 Martin Dies Jr
3 Lake Mineral Wells
4 Lake Bob Sandlin
5 Garner
there are so many great state parks and these are just the tip of the iceberg! thanks for coming along for the ride!
This is my favorite state park to kayak in because we don't have to worry about getting run over by speeding boats! Also, the hiking trails and cabins are great!
Have you been to Purtis Creek or Mineral Wells? both of those are great for Kayaking. thanks for watching!
Damn can't eat fish you catch. Time to relocate. Camp site #17 is good for Leon, Thanks BB
I know right! I had nothing to worry about since they were not biting anyway. thanks for watching!
How is there lead in that lake? Was it backed up next to a shooting range?
I just did a little research and I was misinformed not lead, it is Mercury. no explanation is given but here is where I found the info...

We are doing great! It is camping season! Thanks for watching!
Looks like a beautiful place!
It is beautiful, no doubt about! lol, thanks for watching!
My favorite state park besides Tyler. Big Pine Loop has been there for several years. Sites 1 thru 10 are all pull through.
any idea how long? It looks like it is less than 10 years. thanks for watching and subbing!
@@DudeRV I visited my aunt and uncle there 20 years ago while they were camping. They have upgraded over the years.
@@jwpowell1340 your first RV is rarely your last. LOL
@@jwpowell1340 have you stayed at the boulders on lake tyler?
@@jerredwayne8401 no i have not but it could be in the plans. Thanks
Hey BB, this might be a stupid question, but I’ve got to know Why All RV’ers pull their vehicle behind their Class A, B, C Motorhomes? Your putting as many miles on the vehicle your towing as the one you are driving. So Why don’t RV’ers Buy a Trailer and tow them instead of towing them behind with just a hitch?? Like I said before, probably a reason Why, but also could be a Stupid Question??
I’ve got a Class B and I use a Trailer to pull my Jeep behind my RV so I don’t put all those miles on my Jeep just towing it? Never had a problem here in Tennessee and some other southern States I’ve visited. is it just personal preference?? Like I said, just a question I’d like to know. Thanks for the awesome videos and pictures!!
I can only speak for myself so here we go. a trailer or tow dolly ads one more piece of equipment to deal with. when I am picking up my RV from where I park it I would have to either rent another storage spot for the trailer/dolly or bring it with me, right now I just connect the truck and go, no messing around with another piece of equipment.
We are mostly camping at state parks for now and some of the best sites are back in, right now I can just unhook and back in, with a trailer or dolly you have unload the car, disconnect the trailer and then find a place for it.
You also have to maintain registration and inspection on a trailer or dolly and that is added expense.
In Texas and most western states you are required to have trailer brakes on anything over 5K lbs and that also requires an inspection for registration.
having the F150 outfitted with the tow package was pricey but so well worth it!
Let me see if I can steal one of your subscribers over here while I am watching your great video
