I think you're supposed to cover your hair for like 20 minutes or so to get the colour you want. That colour looks great on you though.

Looks good so u use Revlon dye okay that's niCe spongy hair
You didnt cover it with a shower cap to get the heat from your head. Maybe thats why it didnt get as light the 1st time.
