does this answer your question?
Wow where does time go. I was 26 when the Breakfast Club came out and now I'm 62. Still love the song...and it makes me think of the memories of life that happened in-between. 22 years in the Army, raising 4 kids and married 33 years. Wow - I'm blessed. "Life happens when you're making other plans" so enjoy your time! God bless.
Yes, time flies so fast and thanks to you for serving the army even though i ain't from US.

So yes, let's not forget their part in the songs we listen to basically everyday.

I definitely wasn’t born during the 1980’s but I have massive love for the music that was being made in that time .

I am 13 years old, my mom showed me "the breakfast club" a long time ago, she told me that she saw this movie at the time and she thought it was great and she wanted me to feel how great it is, and the truth is that she is right . THE BREAKFAST CLUB IS AWESOME
16 years old and this stands as one of my favourite songs. 🎼

This song will forever remind me of Covid, and playing games on my old laptop when I should be doing online classes. I dont know if I miss it. But yeah this song is awesome.
I’m 17 and this is my favorite song.

Buen gusto, salu2 😊
Makes me miss my youth, I had a great life back then, I wish I had realized it 😞
Thank you for opening my eyes
Realize now that life is what you make it...you may think back and miss these days to. Blessings, friend!
You and me both. If only I could appreciate the 80s more so.
There will never be another era like the 80s. ❤️. I could eat pizza, Chinese without someone telling me how much calories are in it while I wash it down with a regular coke cola.
You hate being old? That's a good thing. Just because you can't do the fun things you did when you were young and how you want to do it, it doesn't compare to living a long life.
you can still have a great life
One of the greatest songs and the ending to this movie” breakfast club” all time classic

I play the school days from mcdickie

In 1987 this song had already achieved work wide recognition.
Me and a pal sang it dancing on a night club table while visiting the Dominican Republic from Toronto .
We were quickly joined by some Americans and Brits .
The . La la la... at they end was amazing for everyone there .
I can still remember the faces and the sheer joy we all shared .
Wow .
Dont you forget about me.. 🤙
Awesome memory!
And in 2018 it gained more recognition because of a movie set in 1987

This song reminds me of the last day of high school where everyone is laughing with their friends before they start their journey as an adult ❤
I was jogging at 15 while listening to this masterpiece, my grand father was following with his car for safety reasons, bless him 🥰
I can't describe in words the love I feel for this song, every sentence of it moves me so much that I just cry whenever I hear it.

Legendary. The song and the movie. I was blessed to have experienced the 80s. A special special era. We will never see anything like it again
I understand completely, but did you hear about the great news? 1 Corinthians 2: 9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

This is some top notch nostalgia. No remaking the movie, no remaking the song, no beating OGs like this and I wasn't even born when this gem was released.
This is one of my dad's favorite songs. When I listen to it, it reminds me about my dad and I usually am happy, but this time is different because I realize that he isn't going to be here forever and soon this song will be a memory of him. Soon I'll sing this song without him and just remember him this way. It is a beautiful song, especially the "Don't you forget about me" part, and I will never forget my dad even when he is not with me :)

No one will ever see this comment but, I hate and love the way music can make you feel, especially songs like this. Make most of your time. I'm 26 already and it feels like yesterday I was a junior in HS. The time really flies.
What a great song, I’m 71 years old and I still love it !
No words can truly describe what being a teenager during the 80s was like.... man, what a decade that was .... MTV actually played music videos, video arcades, cruising blvd in Hot Rods, etc....would definitely go back to that time if a time machine exist.
This song will always be a classic
One of the greatest songs to come out of the 80’s
I'm just a Zoomer from 2000 who grew up listening to a lot of 80's and 90's music and classic rock and this song always made me tear up a little bit simply because something about it always just connected to me.
And I always said to myself, "this is going to be the song that I hear playing in my head whenever I have to say goodbye to someone I love or move out to live on my own and start my new journey."
And then the Transformers Movie Bumblebee came out.
I never saw Breakfast Club and haven't watched many movies since 2018 but that was the most recent movie I watched in full since my mom got it for me back when it came out on DVD. It was just sitting there on the shelf in its original packaging gathering dust and one night I decided to finally watch it.
So just know that I feel that same emotional connection with that movie scene and this song like those of you who did with other forms of musical and theatrical media.
And I don't know why but every time I sing this song my voice still waivers and my face still quivers like I'm about to cry. As if I'm saying goodbye to someone I truly hold dear to me who I've know my whole life.
I think that's how you know that's what makes good music. You truly feel like you're there in that moment that's being sung. And then even after the song ends, the music is still there as you look up into the sky as the light shines down from that bright cloudy blue sky with that gentle wind blowing through your hair and maybe a rainbow soars across the horizon into tomorrow.

There's something about the intro to this song that really raised the energy in a pub EVERY time it's played. It's good when you're sober, but after everyone has had a few or 10 everyone starts singing "oooooOOOoooOOOO hey hey hey HEY! WON'T you come see about me..." then no one can remember the rest of the words and everyone is doing the watermelon thing 🤣. Ahh good memories!

The day we had to put our beloved dog, Charlie, to rest, my family and I took the loss very hard. We watched the Bumblebee transformers movie that night to lighten our spirits a bit. The ending definitely made us tearful when Bumblebee and the girl (coincidentally called Charlie lol) had to say goodbye. This song played for the ending scene and I've dedicated this song to my little Charlie since. Watching the Bumblebee movie that day was good for us because it helped comforted us with the loss and it really felt like our Charlie was telling us goodbye and that it'll be okay ❤ . It's almost going to be 1 year since Charlie's passing and while I still miss him a lot, this song reminds me of him
Thanks for the tears

Here's the funny part. When I was in high school, I was involved in the drama department. One of our school plays, had a character who inspired Bender from Breakfast Club, leather jacket, scarf, everything. Anyways, one of his lines was: "I'm taking a nap. I'm outta here." This song played as he exited the stage.

Nothing brought me here except my awesome taste 💯
I never get tired of this song, so fantastic melody 😲
This song is one of, if not THE anthem of the 80s! The only other (imo) that "might" come close would be *Melt With You* by Modern English from the movie Valley Girl. *The Breakfast Club* was my first movie date at 13yrs old and I sing this every 80s karaoke when I cruise! "✊" - Bender
The genius of that movie is that it represented every social clique, not just the A-crowd, to explain that every kid hurts in their teen years. A deeper storyline than many realize.
Anybody else here because it's a good song?
