Great story of mutual understanding. I know what it's like to care for an ailing pet. Years ago, my dog developed a cancerous tumor and she could barely stand up by the end. In addition, her fur was falling out. I have admittedly gotten lax in my house cleaning. My room is overdue for a good dusting. But through no fault of my own. My elderly grandma is rapidly going downhill and while she's in assisted living, it's probably only a matter of time.
