I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to own this figure! I've never had a Slog/Sludge toy before, and I'm very excited that this toy has made a comeback since G1.
AOE Voyager Slog is basically a re-tool similar to that of Voyager Generations Beast Wars Maximal Rhinox with a few minor little differences in transformation and an entirely different skin. Similarities run through from the design process especially when you consider both Rhinox and Slog have the same issues with the weak hip/knee joints, and both also being shellformers. Now as for locking the back kibble on Slog...a rubber band might help.
Everything about this figure is just stellar. Gorilla arms debate aside, I love those accidental power gauntlets and cannon-wing things. Dino mode looks near perfect with or without weapons. I need this bruiser in my collection!
It seems Optimus has grown reckless in his old age. You'd thing he'd go reckless in his young age, but no. Anyway, I'm very interested in Slog. He looks great, and it makes sense to use a Brachiosaurus (I don't care what his box says, that posture is scientifically inaccurate for an Apatosaurus or any other diplodocid) as a mobile battle station (if you consider the arrangement of his weapons). I also like how a lot of the proportions of the dinosaur mode are carried into the robot mode, like the chunkiness and the thick, strong-looking limbs.
I think I was making a joke. I don't remember. In all seriousness, his motives _were_ understandable and sympathetic, although some of his dialogue makes him come across as kind of ruthless.
This guy was a bit of pain for me. His feet seem a bit loose and this damn rubbery plastic doesn't make his transformation easier. But the looks of this figure is kick-ass. Totally worth it.

I honestly wasn't too interested in him before, but after seeing this, he looks fun and better than I expected. Cool weapons too, maybe those smaller pieces are supposed to be some sort of tongfa(sp)/nightstick thingies? I really like the way his legs transform. hey emgo, are you going to dutch comic con?? and i have a tip for if you are going to get generations jetfire, to open his cockpit just put you indexfinger under the wheelwell and you thumb on the autobot symbol and then just bend the nose a litle bit then it wil open with no problem at all... greetings from holland.

On the other hand, I think this is the first real Brach transformer, so that's a plus. All they'd need for this to be more awesome for me would be to add an Ankylosaur and a Pachycephalosaurus.

It doesn't even matter, but for the looks, it is not an Apatosaurus, it's a Brachiosaurus. Apatosaurus have bigger back legs and their neck it's inclined down. The Brachiosaurus could put its neck pointing upwards like Slog. Otherwise G1 Sludge looks more like an Apatosaurus than Slog do. I think the soft rubbery plastic is a let down...
I feel like he should be named something different. Sludge, maybe? Slug is close enough, sorta. But I don't understand why they changed Sludge to Slog.

I really wish that in the movie they would have put GRIMLOCK/STRAFE/SLUG/SLOG/SNARL instead of GRIMLOCK/STRAFE/SLUG/SCORN also I feel like if they put slog in the movie hound would have gotten a dinobot bc slog is so big I hope they also make a platinum version of snarl and slash but the movie was a 8-10 in my book

I know people like the Dino its, but this one seems kinda BLEAH! Drab yet clashing coloring. Price point too high for what it is. I'm not surprised that there seem to be tons of these loitering store shelves months after release. At least the other Dino's have some color to grab the eye.
It's kind of funny how this Dinobot has the most accurate color scheme to the rest of them in the movies but he wasn't even in the movie
What I like about these guys is that not only do they have the Knight aesthetic, they also have medieval weapons

That's funny, it wasn't until I watched this that I saw that you can attach Strafe's swords to his crossbow.
