Another benefit I forgot to mention. With the buckles attached on the bottom, the sling stands up on it’s own.

Thanks for the Unboxing. There’s not much out there on this Sling. This video helped me pull the trigger to order one. Here’s my quick review. I wanted a larger Sling to use with my Fuji XT4 with the 100-400 lens. The 100-400 is a big lens. It’s time consuming to have to drop your backpack to pull out at the same time walking around with it attached to the Fuji can be fatiguing, if that’s a word. I tried out the Wandrd Rogue 9L. While it fit this setup with Np, the strap was not the easiest to use especially when trying to loosen it when swinging the sling to pull out the camera. The Black Ember sling is a little smaller than the Rogue, but it still fits my camera + lens without any issues. The benefit to this sling is the ease of use of the Strap. It’s super easy to loosen or tighten. Yes, when tightened, there can be some dangle from the strap, but there’s an easy fix. I take the extra part of the strap, and wrap in the elastic strap holder. This creates a loop that you can put your fingers thru when tightening or loosening. What I don’t particularly like are the attachment straps. While they look cool, I would’ve preferred the traditional attachment buckles that you see on slings like the Rogue or other backpacks. Not a deal breaker. Overall, this sling has great fit and finish, and will work great as camera bag, or EDC carry. Hope this helps!

I agree on all the points you've mentioned, this is a great minimalist sling/camera bag for people on the go with minimal setup. Not perfect but will benefit one with particular needs in a slingbag for sure. Glad this simple video helps!

I like the design, but without a camera insert worth buying. I don't know the material as seen and practically how it looks, but I bought an Alpaka gear sling bag and their X-Pac VX21 outer material is great.

I agree..I do have an Alpaka discount code that you can use here just in case you need to buy more. Just go to this link glnk.io/y3ww1/ultraelectromagneticpack and use this code UEMP_HOLIDAY15OFF (valid until Dec. 31 2023)

The camera sleeve should come with it for the price in my opinion.

What were the reasons you didn’t like yours? I’m interested in this bag but there’s very few videos about it.

@@kean4582 I just bought it and I have issue with the strap. When I tighten it to carry it closer to my chest/back, the excess strap is dangling around (as seen in the marketing video). The dangle stopper doesn't help much. Apart from this, the strap padding is quite hard (not the soft padding type) and I think it is designed more for a left-shoulder carry (I have trouble shifting to carry on my right shoulder due to the strap pad which can't move). Other than this con, another one would be lack of organization compartments. Having said these, I like it for its 8L capacity cos I usually carry lightweight jacket, water bottle and umbrella in my EDC. Current slings in the market typically range between 3-6L. So it's hard to find a sling bag which can carry all these within a small bag (8L is the most I can accept for a small sling bag). Bellroy's 9L or Wexley's 10L slings are too big imo. Aer's Day Sling 3 Max would've been a perfect sling (I almost bought it), but due to many complaints on its fidlock strap which always accidentally clips off, it is definitely a dealbreaker.

@@teddytjhie2457 thanks for the very informative reply! I went ahead and ordered it partly because of the black friday sale. I hope i’ll be contented with mine since I already like how it looks. I actually have the Bellroy 10L and I honestly think that the 10L is based on its external dimensions, while other brands compute their volume based on the internal capacity of their bags. I think its internal capacity is just 7-8L (i don’t think it can even fit an 11inch ipad). Anyway, I’m shifting from mirrorless cameras to just using the pocket 3 for travel vids, so I’m now considering slimmer sling bags, as oppose to the wider Bellroy slings.

@@teddytjhie2457 you can cut and shorten the dangling strap. I'm a leather craftsman and I do change if needed. I always change the zipper pullers, if not find them good for me and replace them with leather ones or buy them online. I have Pgytech sling bags, Peak design 5L sling bags, Alpaka sling bags(several of them) my old Cullmann camera bag(1995), and many backpacks.
