BBC Breakfast: Gambling firms to be forced to pay about £100m a year to NHS

Gambling with lives is charity set up by families bereaved by gambling that provides support, raises awareness of gambling disorder’s devastating effects, & campaigns for change
The gambling companies are going to be forced to pay about £100m a year to the NHS funding addiction research, prevention and treatment, it is a part of government changes that will replace a longstanding system of voluntary contributions.
There will be 7 new NHS centres due to open by the end of the year, taking the total to 15, up from just one in 2019.
I sometimes have a flutter but always remember the saying when the fun stops stop. There is still some gambling adverts on tv often I've seen one two in the same break tempting people to go online bingo.
Things are changing hopefully for the best such as the mental health act , prisoners getting a second chance , new funding for the NHS etc.
I'm moving on everyday with little help but need more care from the mental health team they would be there if I went into a relapse we all know the fact “ prevention is better than cure “
Understandably they must be extremely busy same as the House of Lords.
House of Lords has three main functions: making laws, investigating public policy, and holding the government to account.
