Fun Facts about this amazing song and song title and clues to the lyrics. Aqua regia is a combination of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid used to dissolve gold and platinum. "Aqua regia" translates to "royal water" in Latin, referring to its ability to dissolve noble metals like gold and platinum, which most other acids cannot.
Vore. As in Carnivore. It's basically a self reflection of I am what you say I am and I'll tear myself down as well. It's an angry song. I'm not sure if say it's about sex but the eye or ear of the beholder when it comes to art.
My interpretation is that it's about severe codependency! I think it's a double entendre for both codependency in a romantic relationship, but also the whole "goddess" Sleep that visits/pleasures/tortures Vessel in the lore
Paraphilia: Vorarephilia is a paraphilia, or erotic desire, to be consumed by or to consume another person or creature. It can also refer to an erotic attraction to the act of eating.--- They've got a song called "Jaws" and multiple songs talking about teeth, biting and sharpening teeth, "your viscera welcome me in"
Yeah the studio recordings are like 95% Vessel (the singer) and 5% II (the drummer). Vessel is just musically gifted in multiple ways - vocals, writing, instruments...dude is nuts. II helps with the writing and is the absolute beast playing the drums on every song. Live performance include III and IV who play bass and guitar, and there's also a trio of lady singers that go by Espera Bio...I think...that do backup vocals live.
He's like 75% max since there are four members in the band. You have to AT LEAST give II his 25% or it isn't Sleep Token and the drums become all electronic. Just saying...
Fun fact, in the studio it’s only Vessel and ii! The rest are for the live performances! But yeah, Vessel is a freaking poet!
