I had engaged to purchase before the year end,but deferred with few reasons. Based on previous complaints, cracked turbo hose - fixed; fault on injector - fixed by changing supplier. A reported problem with gearbox has no answer until now, I had questioned 3 Ford dealers, none would claim the fault has been rectified. I asked all other owners whether they have friends that can provide some input, again,even a land rover defender owner not willing to answer. I had checked with XLT and Wildtrak owner, they did indicate the truck do have a cutoff when revving near 5k rpm, possibly to protect the small engine; this is in offroad condition in mud or maybe sand. On another note, the Fox suspension warranty possibly until 40k only, a 100k or 3 years on general warranty by manufacturer, do query in detail to your salesperson; an example on my Peugeot of 5 years warranty, 3 years manufacturer and 2 years by insurance company. Within the 3 years,no question ask for any claim, but on 4th year, submission need the be made for any type of warranted items; don't get caught on the same mistakes I made. On assumption usage of 20 - 25k a year, the warranty will expired by the 3rd year itself. I'm not a hardcore off-roader, I'm doing long roadtrips and a lil bit of overland where few modification required on off tarmac, I usually achieved 25 -30k a year. That leave me with hesitation on the warranty especially on the gearbox. Indeed, the raptor is capable. Buy what you required. I'll revisit this truck when the new version available usually in April or with some delay to June on the production line. By the way, a truck should be capable; by that means, it need to be reliable.

By the way, i had changed my triton(someone eagerly want my truck, he made full payment in less than 3 days, i asked him to test drive, he just mentioned, he know the truck in good care 😀); im now a new owner of a rouge truck, need a bit more juice.
