Hey, I found it difficult too.. Recently joined the startup community in Sydney and attended one of their events last week thinking that I would be able to network to other people. But the event was sponsored and all they wanted to talk was regarding the Sponsor's product. Was not very useful and not much opportunity for people who wants to network.
